I was there when the Beatles appeared on Ed Sullivan. I was there when Elvis and Dolly and Porter Wagoner were on the Grand Ole Opry. I was there when Led Zeppelin & The Stones and Yes were packing out the arenas. I was there when the Sex Pistols burst on the scene and then faded away. I was there before and after Jerry died. I was there when the bad ballet dancers tromped around like horses to Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. I was there when Madonna was hanging out at Danceteria. I was there when Beastie Boys and Run DMC and Keith Haring were spray painting their names all over New York. I was there when they handed out the "who Cares" awards and got my gold plated butt kicking for my years spent as an artist in the suburban & rural southeastern USA.. I was there when people actually needed something.
If that all sounds like too much drama or too pretentious, then You should go out and get some experience, then come back and we'll yammer away about all the stuff that matters to each other.
