***WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING ABOUT ROBIN EVE??***
Aural Fix Communique and it's readers named Robin Eve "Queen Of The Long Island Music Scene" in 2004!! To read the interview, go to www.robineve.com and click reviews! www.auralfix.com - They are HUGE supporters of the local music scene!

""Robin Eve and Frank Walker make up EveWalk, an acoustic storytelling duo who strum and harmonize about their world and surroundings. Nights like this were made for an act like EveWalk, and the crowd was ready to follow the pair wherever they wanted to take them" - D. Brown / Goodtimes Magazine
**
**
"Long Island has a rich folk-rock history. From the earliest days of Harry Chapin to the modern-day coffee house, the Island has been a hotbed for folkies. Robin Eve is the latest addition to this list. With her mother's guitar in hand, Robin played her own songs for the first time this past May. She quickly gained the interest of the crowd and became an instant favorite. Her songs give a message of hope and love, and are conveyed by a rich and full voice. Not only is she a great talent, but Robin has also become one of the biggest cheerleaders and supporters of local music on the Island today". - H. Friedman / Long Island Press

"Great show last night! You have balls woman! " - Simply Stated

"Robin Eve is a local artist who has definitely made an impact on the scene. It's hard to believe that about a year ago, she was nervously trying her wings at her first open mic. "All My Yesterdays" is her 5-song debut demo. It gives a good sampling of her rich, lovely vocal style and some nicely strummed 6 and 12-string guitar, and shows off her gentle, moody songwriting. My favorite song on the CD is the opening number, "Let It Rain". It features a chorus that showcases her voice, and sincere well-written lyrics. ("So many thoughts that I hide from myself/huddled, scared deep inside") Also strong is the slightly darker song, "What Is Your Legacy" ("What treasures will we find? / What is your Legacy? / What will you leave the children behind"), and her ode to a confused friend, "A new Life". - R. Hughes / Aural Fix Communique

**
"Robin Eve is a gifted, talented and lovely lady, pure & simple" - F. Walker

**
"Nice Demo. I like the honesty of the songs, and the singing". -J. Chapin

**
"You are like a breath of fresh air! Your lyrics are smart, funny, sentimental and perfect!" - K. Vale

"Wow-Women tribute page celebrates you for our season 4 event.
We honor you because....
We've all heard of story tellers, in relation to songwriters.
This women's style of music is more like soul-telling.
When I listen to Robin's music...I am transported to a journal. The notes are the words...the melody is the energy that flips the pages...the song is a concise worded recap. I'm thinking...now I would like to read the whole book. Is there another in the series. I don't want to put this down. This is touching my spirit. This is beautiful."- R. Tirrell

Honesty and bravery. Doesn't matter if it's in a song or in a life.
That combo is unbeatable.
"courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying I will try again tomorrow". R.C.

Sounds Like
SOME OF MY PASSIONS...
Family, music, courage, hope, breathing, waking up tomorrow, laughing, love...and...again, hope. Hope is what make everything else come true.
Hang on to it for dear life. ;-)
Here are some of the things that inspire me to be better than I was yesterday...
I believe in this planet and the need to have some of it left for my grandchildren. We are killing ourselves, our friends, our family, our pets and our earth, one plastic bag and soda can at a time.
We can ALL make a difference...remember, it only takes one! This goes for everything in our lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My God, if we all did something....we just might save this planet after all.
I don't know about you but I'd love for my child to experience Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter like I did when I was a kid. With actual seasons and snow and playing in the sprinkler and not just hurricane season, tornado season, 1000%SPF, sorry another city is under water.
LEARN, ACT, NOW. IT IS NOT TOO LATE NOW BUT SOMEDAY...IT WILL BE.
"WHAT IS YOUR LEGACY?" - r.e.
For Rachel Corrie...thank you for opening my eyes.
I think John Lennon & Eva Cassidy say it best...
I'm posting the next video because they are just so beautiful it hurts.
From the wonderful world of Marketa Irglova & Glen Hansard... please visit them at http://www.myspace.com/theswellseason and spread the word about their music...I am beyond inspired by them both. Thanks.
Ohhh, had to add this....so freakin beautiful I can't believe it! Check out the master behind it at http://www.myspace.com/krazyroscoe...DAMMMMN!

"WHAT IS YOUR LEGACY?" - R.E.
Prune Belly Syndrome is a condition where a child is born without abdominal muscles and the complications only increase from there. This condition affects one in 40,000 births every year and has a fatality rate of 50% before the age of two!
50% by the age of two not jarring enough?? That easily translates to this...if you don't know someone that is suffering from the effects of Prune Belly Syndrome now, in your lifetime, you will
*
Yet most people think it is just a funny name.
*
Well guess what? There is NOTHING funny about being told in this day and age that you should abort your child because their condition is hopeless which is what some people hear from our doctors. I don't know about you but this level of sheer ignorance within the medical community INFURIATES me and if it infuriates you too....
*DO SOMETHING!* It is not a funny name, it is a child killer...just that simple.
Write your congressman, pass on the info to your doctor, tell a friend, log on and make donations. Sometimes we want to help but we think "what can one person do". It only takes one.
Want to find out more about Prune Belly and how something so strange sounding can be killing our children and see how you can help put a stop to the madness? Please visit www.prunebelly.org
The song below can be purchased with proceeds going to www.prunebelly.org and features Frank Walker, Ramona Spooney (www.spoonwalk.com) and Jen Chapin.
Frank is proof positive that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
Frank was born with Prune Belly and the following video was put together by him. His mother was also told to abort him and Frank turned 41 years old in 2008. Take THAT Mr. Doctor Man!!! He's changing the world all on his own and you told his mother that it was "hopeless" before he was even here.
www.myspace.com/frankwalkermusic
This HAS to stop.
Please help spread the word about this rare medical condition so more families dealing with Prune Belly Syndrome can believe anything IS possible and they are NOT the only one.
www.prunebelly.org - together we CAN make a difference in the life of a child. Please log on to see how.
Please take a moment to check out the life, love and triumph that is Derek Carter's life as told in the following two videos. I'm totally blown away by the attitude of this kid and the love of his family.
The next video is staring another one of my heros....the very brave Aidan.

TOMORROW YOU MIGHT NEED THE CURE!!!**
"Dear Mr. President, you'd never talk a walk with me" either.
Thanks Pink, I couldn't have said it better myself!
This next song was written by a good friend and extremely talented songwriter-musician, Dan Acosta, and it's been stuck in my head since he wrote it a few years ago. May we all remember his insight. www.myspace.com/danacosta

You are going to totally be on fire tonight, the rain is the universe trying to cool things down!!! have a wonderful gig as always, our shooting star!!!!
i miss just simply chatting through e mail, but i know we are in our busy phases. How are you beautiful robin! I love your new default, it is so moody, really cool.
I walked along a road today Soft trees & birds, encouraged my way How peaceful I thought on this sacred track I must be dreaming as I turned to look back
How I wished that all peoples could see The beauty & joy that was surrounding me Feelings of bliss and of pain no more Enveloped my heart, twas heaven for sure
But where does it lead, what will the end be? Perhaps a kingdom of Peace, where all are but free Where all can be safe and out of harms way And can finally rest, a marvellous day
So I continued along, my spirit was high Thinking of all good awaiting…by and by I came to a turn and rounded the bend And could now see the road had come to an end
Yet no kingdom could be seen, I admit with a sigh But a lonely signpost placed lo the years gone by With words carved upon it by hands that were old Of wisdom & grace…rare truth they have told
For it struck me with awe, as enlightening it said The road I had travelled was Peace in each stead So take heed dear friends, learn and be bold “There is no road to peace…. Peace is the road”.
Peace, Love & End to War
