InfluencesSome ponder the immortal question - Does life imitate art, or art imitate life? As for me, my life intimidates art! I live and love for the visual, musical and spiritual expression of art and its profound impact on the world and humanity. I am an artist, a global friend, a musician and songstress who lives life a million time soul, and whose art is dedicated to making the planet more harmonious and brilliant. I truly believe that each of us can change the world through small, beautiful, vibrant expressions and by contributing to the collective consciousness through positive, meaningful mediums. I strive to live passionatley, honestly, respectfully and artistically and to enjoy the precious, prolific moments that make my existence enlightened! What makes me humm is my Martin 6-string, a riveting first kiss, a sublime rhyme and digging for destiny! xo RL

   About robin leigh
Robin Leigh is one of the South’s most captivating and intense performers, bringing to stage an eclectic fusion of alternative acoustic pop rock, vivid lyrical poetry and soulful vocals. A musical menagerie of emotionally-vibrant lyrics and raw acoustic angst, Robin Leigh exudes sensuality and mind-shattering intensity. Ear-candy hooks, dynamic melodies and a passionate style deliver expressions of honest sonic imagery.

From moody ballads to rhythmic rockers, her lyrics are windows to the soul - incantations of life, love and the human condition. From songs like “Karma of the Day” which explores the journey of life to “Even” about finding peace and understanding in the aftermath of love’s demise, Robin Leigh’s life-embracing and passionate musings lead listeners through a maze of human experience and spiritual adventure. Compared to such performers as Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow, Indigo Girls, Natalie Merchant and Aimee Mann, RL is breaking through the constructs of girl rock and enchanting audiences with a her provocative, edgy musical poetry.

Robin Leigh has received accolades from press, club owners and fans throughout Atlanta. She has been described as “totally engrossing” by Creative Loafing, “thought-provoking, off-beat, enigmatic and truly passionate about her muse” by Etcetera Magazine, and “an emerging talent with a powerful lyrical style and an explosive voice,” by Eddie Owen, founder of Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta. RL has been featured on 96 Rock, WREK, WRAS and VH1’s Bands on the Run. In 2001, she won the Top of the Tree at CJ’s Landing, the only solo artist to win the Atlanta competition.

Touring with a set of soulful songs and her acoustic/electric Martin, RL is illuminating stages with energetic guitar anthems, soaring vocals and an alluring, charismatic presence. Recently she has charmed audiences at My Sisters’ Room, Azul, Park Tavern, Atlanta Pride Festival, NYC’s Cubby Hole and Houston’s Chances, Franklin St. Café and Guava Lamp.

- Lee Smith, Creative Loafing, 2004

“Robin Leigh is an emerging talent with a powerful lyrical style and a truly explosive voice.”
- Eddie Owen, Eddie’s Attic.

“I saw [Robin Leigh] do some solo acoustic stuff at Eddie’s Attic one night and she was totally engrossing.”
– Jeff Clark, Creative Loafing.

“Robin Leigh is intoxicating . . . a powerful entity on the Atlanta music scene, delivering soaring, sexy vocals and loveable, hooky tunes.”
- Roi Tamkin, Southeast Performer.

“Robin Leigh’s powerful voice and imaginative song lyrics quickly made me her newest fan.”
– David Boswell, Etcetera Magazine.

“Enigmatic female rocker performs off-beat and thought-provoking unplugged rock.”
– Etcetera Magazine.
