About me:
Robin Horton was born in Chicago,IL on June 11, 1974. She has been living in California fourteen years and has two associate degrees, one in Fashion Design and the other in Business Manufacturing. For three years she owned a design house in the Cooper Building of Los Angeles, supplying the latest fashion to local boutiques.
When the desire for writing surfaced, she was able to produce five completed manuscripts. In the process of seeking exposure for theses manuscripts her father mentioned plays, which inspired her to write even more. She wrote her first play in a matter of weeks and discovered that it was therapeutic and a way to deal with personal issues. Robin finds that her writing is geared for those 21 and over and deals with topics that are realistic. No topic is taboo if it exist, she loves to confront it.
Past productions of original plays include "Why are we failing God," "Deception," A Vandigger Christmas," and "A Journey into Time." Her Resent play "I'm Hurting and Who can Heal Me?" was performed recently at the Wilshire Ebell Theater on June 28, 2008. "I'm Hurting..." is based upon familiar social territores. There are five women in distress, anger, and hiding behind uncontrollable emotions. They all have hidden secrets which are systematically destroying their lives to the point where all wind up in a mental clinic. There, everything is revealed.
Robin's motivation is her relationship with Jesus Christ and her family. he hopes to keep a promise to a brtother who passed away nearly five years ago. Two weeks before passing he told her, "you and the world have to meet." She continue to use her gift of writing untill that happens.
