Hi,
I'm Keith Robinson, Guitarist based in the Highlands of Scotland. Since trading my stereo for a beaten-up
acoustic guitar nine years ago, I have lived
and breathed music. Now 23, music is as exciting
to me today as it was back then. I'm still
just as eager to learn and share my music
with others.
I currently teach guitar at the Yamaha Music School/Musicworks (Inverness) and I'm a guitar/bass tutor at Dornoch Academy (Sutherland). Aside from playing in bands, writing and recording music, I also teach privately and occasionally take part in facilitating music workshops.
My music is heavily influenced by the music
of the last three decades. I am inspired by
the melodic playing of Gary Moore/Thin Lizzy, Doug Aldrich, Robben Ford to name a few...
I have played in many bands of diffent genres,
including blues, rock, country/scottish; party
and wedding bands. I provided backing vocals
and guitar accompaniment, as well as having
a major part in producing the bands demo
recordings.
All the recordings on here were recorded and performed at home by myself, with the exception of the bagpipes on "Wildcat". I dont play bagpipes.... yet! :D
I'm always on the look out for people to exchange ideas with, so please get in touch if you have any comments, ideas or questions about my music or playing - OR EVEN IF YOU'RE LOCAL AND FANCY A JAM!
no comments since July Keith - so unpopular unlike me. hehe just kidding. back to inverness soon. we will need to get a songwriting sesh on the go!!. xx
Sounds like you have been working on it for years anyway! Very impressed! you never know it might take over your guitar playing! :P
Two week breaks are always good! haha...where abouts you working?
I ain't been up to much really, just working mainly. Nah no bands at the moment. Driving North are no more unfortunately. But I am playing Bella with the Big Band on Fri and Sat so that should be good!
Yeh I am off down to Manchester to do study Session Music at the RNCM. Can't wait to go!
Allright keith This is Connor here! from guitar lessons. We couldnt change our name from the corny old one because "beyond the void" is a german band with like three albums. Hows yourself anyway?
Hey, thanx for the friend request, you have amazing talent! I REALLY like Footless Path! Amazing mix of acoustic and electric guitar! Did someone else do the drums? Moving on was wicked, i loved the guitar, again, and the amazing riffs and orginal style. I think Breathless was great too. All of your songs are unique and have that amazing hardcore guitar, like one solo. Rock on!
Hey, its good that your trying to make a name for yourself and hopefully some day youll make it big.
You have potential and dont listen to that critic, he probably has no taste in music and doesnt enjoy music as a whole and has to be picky.
I like that freith band there and you are a good musician. Good luck!
Thanks for the request ... excellent tone and solid technique, reminds me heaps of Gary Moore and bit of David Gilmour (but a tad grittier.) Keep it all up!
