........ .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ........................................ Personal Message from Robin: WELCOME. THIS IS MY PERSONAL MY SPACE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR VISITING. PLEASE KEEP YOUR MESSAGES AND COMMENTS COMING, I ENJOY THE INSPIRATION AND THE CONNECTION. TELL ME ANYTHING. MAYBE I'LL WRITE SOMETHING. I'LL BE ADDING NEW RAW SONGS ON HERE FOR YOUR FEEDBACK AND TO HAVE YOU, MY AWESOME AUDIENCE BE INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS. SO MANY OF US ARE LEFT OUT. I WANT TO CHANGE THAT. SO SPEAK UP! LET IT FLY! I'LL TRY TO KEEP UP... DON'T FORGET TO READ MY BLOGS TO FIND OUT WHERE THIS MATERIAL COMES FROM. AND THANK YOU FOR CHECKING IN ON MY HEALTH. IT MEANS A LOT TO ME THAT SO MANY OF YOU CARE. MANY OF YOU HAVE WRITTEN TO TELL ME HOW INSPIRING AND EMPOWERING IT IS TO READ THESE STRUGGLES, THAT I APPEAR SO STRONG AND YET I CAN WRITE ABOUT TRYING TO STAY POSITIVE IN THE FACE OF MAJOR ADVERSITY. IT'S A TRUE GIFT AND ANSWERS WHY I FELT I SHOULD BLOG ALL THESE DETAILS... ON to the music! Check out the fun video's I'll be adding and there are lots more samples of music on my website: www.shelovesyourecords.com and on my you tube www.youtube.com/robinstonemusic.. THE GUY WHO MAKES THE GRAMMYS SAID: "I have listened to your cd's several times (you're on our 'play list' here in the shop). I must say I am more than impressed. I am not a fan of "funk" but the way you have infused it with jazz and your incredible voice and delivery I find your music very inspiring. I am always blown away how after all that has been done through years an artist can come up with something so unique and create a 'style' all their own." ~John Billings.. ************************************.. WHO IS SHE? Why She's skinny, funky, white chocolate! With 6 efforts released over the past 10 years and a brand new record out now, Robin Stone has evolved from rhythmic singer/songwriter, to a groovy, Funk/Pop artist that still has a lot of content to deliver. 'Music should have something to say. Feed the ears, feed the soul. Dress it up groove and feed the body.' Ironically, after losing her voice to a tumor from a sudden, life threatening illness, she fought back and won 'Best Vocalist of 2009' in Scene Magazine, not to mention had a very productive 2010. ************************************.. WHAT DOES SHE SOUND LIKE? It’s the energy of Dave Matthews delivered with the elegance of Natalie Cole. The pulse of Erikah Badu with the eloquence of Joni Mitchell with kick in the ass Jill Scott style. .. ************************************.. WHY DOES SHE MATTER? Because she is putting on a show you'll remember and making records that stand the test of time... ************************************.. WHAT IS SHE DOING? After being ill for 3 years and battling back she released a new record and a national campaign, a new live record, recorded a video (out soon) for Bad Girl, the DVD for the live record will be out soon, she opened for people like Joan Armatrading, Starship, Jonatha Brooke and she is headed back to the studio for a new record to be out in the spring. ALL IN 2010! Everyone is busy in SLY town... PEACE AND MANY THANKS FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT. ~Stoney -

Influences
***My influences have changed a little - Life, love, loss, experience, observation, pain, joy, life... And now health??? Challenging, to say the least. Lots of music, good music, music that get's me up, and my new band -does it for me! They are truly incredible and I can't wait to create with them each and every time. It makes me wish I had more time to gobble up new music... So that is what I am doing. Taking time off to get treated and to get well (I know it doesn't look like it, I am very busy, but I am busy doing the things that make me shine) I also want to take some more lessons, learn jazz standards, broaden my scope, keep learning instruments. Learning is influence, I have been practicing yoga for four years now and have graduated from my teacher training. Staying balanced while I expand so I can give more to other people and to myself, giving is hard if it leaves you empty, it needs to leave you filled. ..***BUT love lately is STILL on the table, in a new form... it has come back to me and it has also been lost, but my future is wide open. It's really hard to be vulnerable, but it's harder to be vulnerable a little too late, and boy am I glad I am learning that lesson. It is so worth being me, the one who leaves nothing left unsaid, the one who talks love into being, the one who makes people believe. So I am in operation "rebuild", with eyes wide open at life, and this is going to blow the doors off of the world. This will come in the form of all my new records... Love has come to me and given me a gift that I must give back. Thank you love! READ MY BLOGS, THEY REALLY DO HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY. You just might learn more about the kind of person I really am..... Oh yah, I am getting back into my art as well... Design is cool, but I miss using my hands... So I am going to make some cool stuff, and print some photography... Maybe you'll like it. Please sign my mailing list, buy a record, save a life. You can buy CD's on www.littlefishrecords.com. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .................... -
