I like bands without singers, jazzy, progressive, indie-rock bands that are great to listen to whilst surfing z veb like: The Sea and Cake, Saxon Shore, Do Make Say Think, Couch, Lateduster, Explosions in the Sky, Tortoise. I still dig Fugazi. I enjoyed Gnarles Barkley when they first came out. I still like some 90's radio bands like Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam. Rush, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Floyd. From the 60's I enjoy me some Cream and Doors. Any music that feeds the soul.

I also enjoy listening to talk radio-fave is Coast to Coast 97.3 at midnight.

Voltaire's Candide (a classic that I heard much about as a History major but only read recently), Deepak Chopra's the Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire( some deep metaphysical/quantum-physical stuff man...), The Importance of Living-Lin Yutang (this was one wise Chinaman), 1984 by George Orwell (your on Candid Camera!), The Tao of Health, Sex, and Longevity (very practical stuff here passed down from the ancient on how to live a long, healthy, happy life), Sick Puppy by Carl Hiassen (funny stuff by a great Floridian writer about Floridian tales, he went to UF too), The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley (wow man, like was that a pink elephant? Seriously, this ones enlightening), Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods (if you ever desire to hike the AP trail this is a good companion), Joan Bello's "The Benefits of Marijuana"
