About Rob Menzies

I started the Scottish Highland Pipes at the age of 8 and participated in both solo and pipe band competitions for many years. I've been lucky to have had the chance to perform & record with such great & talented people as; Spirit of the West, Stephen Fearing, Ottawa Valley Fiddler - Ashley MacLeod and 5 time World Pipe Band Champions - Simon Fraser Univiersity Pipe Band. Currently I live with in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia (near Vancouver) on Canada's West Coast.

Shona Mooney	Jul 7 2009 7:43 PM I'm doing a gig in The Hub in Edinburgh on the 7th Aug with a 12-piece jazz-folk band coordinated by Colin Steele, a jazz trumpeter. It's quite like the Unusual Suspects if you have heard that music. If you a desperate to find something to do that evening I could see if I could get a few comp tickets for it. No matter if you have other plans though. I'll try to catch up with you in North Berwick as I don't live too far away from there. Good luck with everything! S :)
Shona Mooney	Jul 7 2009 7:20 PM Yeah, I'm OVER the jet lag now! I have been doing fiddle workshops every day since I got back from Vancouver. It's helped me to adjust I think...but I have woken up each night at 4:30am feeling awake. What day do you get to Scotland next month?

Fiona Cuthill	Feb 15 2009 7:58 AM Wow - sounds like a total stress. I know what that must feel like. Same here. Yeah I know The Shee. They are great. Really funky and lots of variety. They all take little turns doing lead vocals and there will be a really trad Scottish number then a bluegrass type one etc. The girl on harp, Rachael, is great at funky bass lines! You'll love them.
