Having an awesome time with mates is what keeps me going, but I can do the chilled out thing when its called for. Playing various music makers takes up a good chunk of my time too. Ive been playing bass guitar for about seven years now, but Ive grown up always making noise on somthing. I like to play a bit of everything, but heavy metal and funk/soul are my favourites. I also churn out the odd face-melter on 'normal' guitar as well.
Music
Lots and lots. I guess mainly it's all the heavy metal stuff (progressive, power, death, thrash, black etc), but I'm really into old motown, soul and funk as well. I also like jazz (fusion and acid-jazz mainly) and classical - mostly the baroque and classical period, as well as contemporary classical. I really like some electronic dance music - the new rave electronica rocks, especially in clubs; but I also like IDM, bigbeat stuff and some house music. I'm also a sucker for really well performed pop music, especially live pop artists/bands.

About me:
Heyo. I would imagine most people looking at this know me anyway, so I'll keep it breif. Im Rob, 21 from Chesham, but partying at Bournemouth Uni at the mo - with a little tiny bit of Business IT degree going on there as well. Spending time with proper awesome people is always gonna be my favourite thing. I dont mind what we're doing - Ive got such amazing mates that anything would be a laugh so long as some of them are there. I love meeting new people and making new friends too. I also love music - playing, listening, writing, and recording - that all takes up a good chunk of my time - and along with my social life, the only thing I dont think I could live without.
Im also partial to being a bit of a nerd every so often, so that probably should probably get a mention. I love snowboarding and want to keep doing it for as long as my body will let me. I also enjoy to keep active in more traditional ways, like swimming, running, cycling and the whole gym thing.

Yeah the spreadsheet is working like a dream, such a lifesaver! Everyone I know is like "whoa, I think I've spent over £100 in the last two days...but I don't even know what on!"
The only slight problem that I've found is that some of the cells don't automatically change the amount you enter into £s. about 95% work fine, but on some, you type in 10, and it leaves it as 10, rather than automatically changing it to £10.00. Not really a serious problem but I assume there is a way to change it?

Had an absolutely superb last night at the main campus union - I just sent out an email about it, and a link to a photo of us before we went. It was a red & yellow theme. Let's just say I still have bright crimson nails.

Yeah so far everything is pretty much amazing. Within about 2 minutes of arriving I met two of my flat mates - Ruth and Matt (both doing graphcis as well), and then the others turned up - Steve, Anna, Vicky (all fine artists) and Becca (ceramics). They are all immensely cool and we were all getting along so fast. Apparently a lot of the flats just don't talk to each other which sucks, but we're fast getting a repuation for being a really good group of friends already.
Steve in particular is cool, he also plays guitar, mostly acoustic and writing his own stuff, and we met another Tim who is really cool and a drummer, so we're gonna try and jam soon.
Been to parties at the SU every night, but it's not too 'extreme' - not like your freshers week! Seeing as we have all our introductory lectures in the day - we have to get up at like 9 or 10 every day, so sadly we've been going to bed at like 1 or 2 am. But still, having a great time. Our kitchen is also getting quite a repuation - everyone comes up here after the bar closes down at the SU.
Anyway, could go on about lots of other stuff, but it is 1am and I've gotta get to a graphics introduction at 10am tomorrow!
