Classically trained and always inventive, Rob Nicholas a Chicago native has been recording for nearly 10 years and embodies many types of genres from World Music to Latin Jazz.
In 2006, Rob released “Secrets To Be Told” under the group, Rob Nicholas and A Moments Notice. These recordings displayed Rob’s various styles and songwriting abilities with songs such as “In Hopes to Comprehend” and “Maya” which blended pop rock with world music. But shortly after this album, the group disband and left Rob with a new musical adventure.
Nicholas recreates that early 90’s alternative vibe on his latest self-titled EP scheduled for release in October 2009, bridging the gap between pop with an influence of Sting and Apex Twins.
‘Dare we go’ the highlight of this album for Rob will be the first single to be released from his new offering. The album is being produced by Rob Nicholas and
Matthew Nischan (Kris Meyers of Umphree's McGee, The Matthew Santos roup and jazz legend Fred Anderson).

"At times Rob reminded me of Mike Doughty with a touch of Rob Thomas and at other times Jason Mraz and even some elements of String Cheese Incident at times."
-Chicago Music Guide
"A mixture between Jack Johnson, Dashboard Confessional, and perhaps even Dave Matthews Bands, Rob has a blues, jazzy, light rock sound that washes over you."
