Animals on Wheels (Andy Coleman) + iCON the Mic King (Michael King) = Robots with Hearts
The year was 2006. The place was Rakvere, Estonia. The event was the WHA!? Festival, a new music and culture extravaganza showcasing various genres of music put together by DJ Gee of Def Räädu. That night the black sheep of Ninja Tune Records, one Andy Coleman aka Animals On Wheels, would rock the house with frenetic beats and shapeshifting rhythms at lightning speeds twiddling the knobs of his custom built circuit bent equipment. Not to be out done Philadelphia's favorite underachiever Michael King aka iCON the Mic King would dangle 20 ft above ground delivering his passionate and visceral lyricism in a performance that would echo throughout Estonia.
Impressed by each other's music and performance Andy and Mike kept in contact and eventually the thoughts that became words became actions and they embarked on a journey of creating music together.
The result is Robots with Hearts. Enjoy being apart of history as it is written.
