originally started as black coffee honey, vocalist helena & bassist juad decided to begin something new and different from the previous band, thus robot asmara existed. the name robot asmara initially used by helena as her kinky myspace's nick. as kinky as it sounded, they started to use robot asmara as the new band's name.
as then, tom & ijam joined in as the guitarists of the band because obviously helena & juad need big help and standing both side by side to be call robot asmara would sounded even weird. the band keeps trying practicing with few different drummers to get the vibe that they should have in order to start introducing people the songs that they have composed. suddenly, kudut arrived and offered little help then he ended up happy playing for robot asmara permanently. soon after several more months of practicing, composing & tightening the play, danial nor joined in as the band insisted to include one synthesizer's player.
officially, early 2008, robot asmara completed with 6 band members and that motivated them even more to started accepting gig's invitation and share their songs out. 'hati besi' was the first single properly recorded at pertama music studio, cheras and mixed by mr. chee meng.
robot asmara is moving slowly but steadily in the independent music's scene as thety believed there's nothing to rush but to enjoy every bit of entertaining moment on each and every gigs/shows that they participate.
