   About roboTone

Robotone is a music business based in Ross-shire. One of the main activities of Robotone is to promote electronic/experimental music in the Highlands, whether this is helping musicians working in the area, or bringing well-known acts to the north. Robotone works with local acts such as Joystick Discotheque, Shutter, Araya, Plexus and Teleshift. As well as creating performance opportunities in other parts of Scotland, the acts have been given the chance to perform at festivals such as Belladrum and GoNorth, and at Robotone events in the Highlands, supporting the likes of The Orb, Herbaliser, FC Kahuna and Slam. Robotone regularly provides sound, visuals and lighting, as well as running music technology workshops in the Highlands.
Please contact Robbie D at robotone@hotmail.co.uk for any info

Please check out the following ROBOTONE artists :

JOYSTICK DISCOTEQUE
Joystick Discoteque is quickly making a name for himself in the North, as well as Glasgow and Edinburgh. He has played at a few Robotone gigs this year as well as nights such as Tronic and Clash in the central belt. You just cant help dancing to his catchy and cleverly structured tunes. His music is made for dancefloors, which he always fills.

ARAYA
Solo work of multi-instrumentalist and electronica producer Keir MacCulloch from Inverness. His music is a fusion of ambient, IDM and glitch with the occasional haunting celtic melody thrown in for good measure.

PLEXUS
Plexus is an ambient music producer from Inverness. His music is a product of many years listening to artists such as - Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Plaid and Boards of Canada. He combines atmospheric textures with warm evolving melodies and steady grooves.
