About me:

For those of you who don't know my background I had a beaded jewelry business 20+ years ago when the "Bohemian" look was called the "Gypsy" look! I went from there to a career in fundraising for various non-profits, all the while still collecting, drooling and, yes, fondling gems! I am now a free-lance PR, Social Media and Marketing professional and have returned to my first love! Learning has always been important to me and I am currently concentrating on Stone Setting and working in Copper, Brass and Silver (Gold when my wallet allows). Most of the classes and workshops are Jewelry Design and Lapidary classes through the Adult Ed Program at Venice Community Adult School under Brad Smith. While setting up a home studio I am taking courses toward my Graduate Gemologist certificate from GIA - Gemological Institute of America. My goal is to one day be an appraiser.
