Sounds Like
... a strange brew of influences from Sarah McLachlan, Nick Cave, the Mission and Slowdive ...
Since the age of 11, my first piano lesson, I have been envelopped in the world of music. Since then, it's turned into an addiction that at times can spin out of control.
I graduated my highschool, Niagara District Secondary School & Academy for the Performing Arts, with the highest amount of Arts Credits ever achieved; I think I took almost every music class available as well as a few drama classes and a tech class. In my highschool life I was totally emmersed in the theater (seeing as I grew up in the 90's and let's face it, 'popular music' sucked then) and I learned music through a Classical medium but it has taught me a lot which I still carry with me.
In the 17th year of my life, I discovered the internet and chatrooms. In my favorite chatroom I met a bloke that, for reasons I still cannot explain, I needed to talk to. A love blossomed between us and on February 13th 1998 I flew to the Netherlands; leaving behind my parents and birthplace in Canada to be with my other half. 6 years later I am now happily married to that man and still living in the Netherlands and still addicted to music (if not more so now than ever).
Now, in my 24th year of life whilst trying to convince my parents to move to Europe I am also spending time on a 'solo' project together with my husband, Eric Hazebroek.
I don't really know how to describe what I want to achieve. A mix of Nick Cave and Goth Rock and Dark Melancholic Pop with oldschool gothy influences. It's a difficult mix of things which I hope to accomplish.
As well as music I have been indulging in photography together with my husband. We're currently working on getting a website with a sample of our portfolio up and running; lack of time is making this task more difficult than it should be.

Despite a long silence here on MySpace, I have no been idle. Apart from recently haven given birth (29/03/06) to a beautiful baby girl I have also been busy writing new music. Luckily, have also found a home for my material which allows me to explore my song-writing abilities with the help of an amazing song-writer and arranger.
Recently, I have been asked to join the newly reformed DAEONIA as their vocalist for new recordings which should come later this year. Right now we are working on writing new material which will remain true to DAEONIA's unique sound of dark soundscapes, poetic lyrics and dramatic arrangements while still evolving into something new. I hope you will all stayed tuned for the new material.
**Update: Hi all..
Please, let me apologize for the long, long silence. I wish I had a better excuse, but to be honest, things have just been too hectic and busy and I've had such little time to do ANYTHING. My little daughter has been keeping me away from the computer but also away from the piano. She's a little hellian, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I am slowly getting more material together though. I've got a bunch of lyrics lying around and now just need to find the time to get behind the piano again. I don't think you'll have to wait too long though.
So - thank you for your patience and please hang in there just a little while longer. I promise you won't be sorry. **
