First I would like to say thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to listen to my album. This project is a testimony of all the things I have gone through in my life, the good and the bad. For my lyrics are simply inserts from my journal, which have shaped and inspired me to be the person I am today. My melodies are musical expressions of my soul. Music is my life. There for this project was inspired by several styles of music and artist. So I strongly suggest listening to at least the intro to all of the songs on this album simply because each song represents a different point (lesson) in my life which transpired into several genres of music. I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I enjoyed writing them. The Title photograph was chosen because each song was written from a special event in my life. A memory/moment, which still till this day, is so vivid in my mind, as if it were photographed and bookmarked. Although I love every song that I have written, some are more special to me. These songs include
• Photograph
• Indestructible
• Undone
• Intervention
• Happy
• Jealousy
• Fame
Influences
Rochone's influences include artist such as great Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Marvin Gaye and, the Temptations and the list goes on. But to him the most important influences started at home. He was blessed to be apart of such a wonderful, supportive and loving family, and with real legends all around him he is proud to say that the influences made on his heart from his family are what really inspires him to be the best artist he can be.
Sounds Like
I’m not sure who I sound like, but people say I sound a lot like Ne-yo, Jesse Powell and Michael Jackson. But you can be the judge.
Rochone Anderson started out singing Gospel music as a little boy with his church choir. When he was 13, Rochone was introduced to the world of musical theater and dance by his best friend's sister. From there on the rest is history! He attended the Orange County High School of the Performing Arts as well as West Coast School of the Arts. He also attended Dance Precisions during his final year in high school where he was one of the top senior soloists of the season.
Soon after graduating Rochone began working in the industry fulfilling his first love in theater and his newly found love in dance. His professional credits include Stiletto Entertainment (Holland America Cruise Line), Fame, Aida, Dreamgirls (the movie), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (Judah), and his most inspiring role as Mr. Misstoffelees in the Broadway Musical Cats. He has also worked for the Huntington Beach Union School District as a dance instructor for Fountain Valley High School where he led the dance team to a first place national award. Rochone is also the Artistic Director of Atlantis Dance Theater, a contemporary dance company, which is in residence at the Maple Conservatory. He also recently taught at the American Ballet Theatre's Orange County Summer Intensive program. Rochone is passionate about the arts and enjoys sharing his love for all art forms with his students. He feels that being a part of the arts has truly shaped his life as well as his craft.
