"Lonely Boat Production asbl" presents : ROCK FOR TIBET FESTIVAL
In May, we are going to kick off a series of concerts (we hope), to help the Tibetan refugees in India.
All the people who will help, the artist who will play will be volunteers. We want all the benefits to be for the cause (Especially for the TCV SCHOOLS -for Tibetan refugees- in India) I am sure you understand !
The initiative of this festival is based on the organisators' experience we had last summer. Thanks to the great people we met, we love you and we support you how we can !

We are now just waiting for a late response due to a trip to India for ne more guest.

9 mei - Rock for Tibet
Op zaterdag 9 mei 2009 is er het benefietconcert "Rock for Tibet" in Brussel ten voordele van TCV Suja in India. TCV staat voor Tibetan Children's Village en meer informatie hierover vind je op www.tcv.org.in. Het is de eerste editie van "Rock for Tibet" en alle inkomsten gaan integraal naar TCV Suja. Alle groepen zijn professioneel en treden gratis op, en alle medewerkers zijn vrijwilligers. De organisatoren gaan eind mei naar India en zullen alle inkomsten van het concert persoonlijk overhandigen aan TCV Suja.
LBP Productions staat in voor de kaartenverkoop. Tickets kunnen enkel besteld worden op het telefoonnummer 083-22.03.12. De kaarten worden je door LBP toegestuurd na ontvangst van de betaling én van een (aan jezelf geadresseerde) gefrankeerde envelop, die je stuurt naar LBP Productions, Rue d'Emptinne 2, 5363 Emptinne. Een ticket kost € 8,00 in voorverkoop en € 10,00 de avond zelf aan de kassa. Let wel op: er zijn slechts 150 plaatsen!

Hello ! Once again, THANKS to all who came or got involved in this first edition of Rock for Tibet. Everything went really well and we are happy to announce that 650€ were collected and will be donate to TCV School, SUJA. The money will be brought on May 30th by the organisers themselves. We will take some photos ;=)
We were truly honoured to have Mr Tashi Wangdi (The European representative of the Dalaï Lama) opening the festival with a moving speech, as well as 3 nuns who came to sing a song that they use to sing while in jail in Tibet.
A special thanks to all the bands, playing for free and all the volunteers. Without them, this event wouldn’t be possible.
We are now in the “thinking mode” for the second edition and all great ideas are welcome. More soon,
