ROCK AGAINST DIABETES presents THE DIMEBAG DARRELL STAGE
THE 2ND EVENT SLATED FOR OCTOBER 25TH, 2008 in LAS VEGAS
HOLLYWOOD, CA (July 3, 2008) – Rock Against Diabetes is proud to announce a second event featuring the Dimebag Darrell Stage on October 25th, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV. The union came from discussions about the events being held for Rock Against Diabetes with Rita Haney-Abbott, Dimebag Darrell’s widow.
Haney-Abbotts very close to this disease in her private life as her grandmother is diabetic and recently her father Howell Haney was diagnosed last year as a diabetic. “Once my father became diabetic that is when I learned that diabetes can kill if not dealt with properly,” states Rita Haney Abbott. “I feel that this is a cause that we want to support. I know Dimebag would have been there to support a cause that can help, for he was very close to my father & would have done anything for him & vice versa. Dime always had a good heart that was unconditional in giving to many, not just his family.”
Rock Against Diabetes is an ongoing concert series and fundraising program with the goal of providing information and support to diabetics and people concerned about the disease worldwide. A main directive is to attempt to avoid asking the public for donations, but to offer great entertainment and unique fundraising experiences through music to raise funds that are needed to provide some new ground breaking support for diabetics.
The Dimebag Darrell stage line-up is yet to be determined and will be announced in the next month along with the sponsors that support this great charity event.

MARTY CASEY AND LA GUNS - ENTIRE HOUSEBAND FROM ROCKSTAR INXS/SUPERNOVA TO PERFORM
Rockstar INXS and Lovehammers frontman Marty Casey is now the lead singer of Tracii Guns' LA GUNS and will be performing at the show in Vegas on August 23rd. With Paul Mirkovich, Sasha Kristov, Rafael Moreira and Nate Morton being part of the show, as foundation members of the All Star Band, some old magic may take place.....
CONSTANTINE MAROULIS, AMERICAN IDOL 4 FINALIST JOINS ROCK AGAINST DIABETES ALL STAR BAND
American Idol finalist, frontman and solo artist Constantine Maroulis has added his name to the ever growing list of performers that will be taking part in Bumblefoot of GnR's All Star Band. A great vocalist, powerful and theatrical, Maroulis adds another element to the lineup, that now includes: Jeff Berlin, Rafael Moreira, Lez Warner (The Cult), Nate Morton, Paul Mirkovich, Sasha Kristov and more. Constantine will also be taking part in the preshow concert/kickoff party August 22nd in Las Vegas. Tickets to be released June 10th for the preshow concert.
RICHIE KOTZEN SIGNS ON TO PERFORM
Richie Kotzen (ex-Mrbig/Poison)has been touted as “one of the best guitar players in the world, a voice on par with some of the greatest rock/soul singers and creative songwriting, Richie Kotzen has had an incredible journey in the world of music. In 2006 as a solo artist, Kotzen was the opening act for the legendary Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang Tour in Japan.

In order to reach a larger audience, and put on a memorable show, it was decided to partner with Deep Rock Drive this year, to beam this first of it's kind musical and charity event to a worldwide audience in HD broadband internet. The auctions will begin in late April of 2008 and are one of the main fundraising initiatives of the Rock Against Diabetes event. Without the help of the sponsors, musicians, PR firms, actors and management companies that donate items for this auction system, it would be impossible to book acts, give away prizes and even maintain all of the website material, PR material and all of the things that tie into the show. ERIC MARTIN
Eric Martin started his career singing at the end of the 70’s for a San Francisco band called 415. With 415, Eric played hundreds of shows opening for established act like Billy Squire, Hall & Oats, Journey, ZZ Top and Foreigner to name a few. 415 was signed to Elektra/Asylum records and “Sucker for a pretty face” was released after a name change to the Eric Martin Band (EMB).
