Hanging out with my wife, music, computers, little bit of traveling, golf, tennis
Music
All kinds of music - everything from Alanis Morrisette to Korn. I'm not really familiar with a lot of country music but I appreciate the people who play it, especially the guitar players cause those guys are good! Probably my favorite band is the Counting Crows - but I like a ton of other music too. Coldplay, Train, Korn, Lillian Axe (always!), Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains - all that grunge era stuff, 90's metal, Static X, System of the Down, Sugarcult, Weezer, Nickelback, Ben Folds, Brandi Carlile, A Fine Frenzy, Damien Rice, Hoobastank, Trapt, The Killers, Live, Mindy Smith, Dylan, Norah Jones, Pink Floyd, Stone Temple Pilots, Three Days Grace, Switchfoot, Starsailor and many others.
About me: My band is The Common Groove - check us out live or out here at thecommongroove.com
Back in 2004 I met the girl of my dreams (Lindsay) and we got married in 2005 and are having a great time just doin' what we do! I work, play guitar, and go to school - after 20 years I'm closing in on that BS (which is EXACTLY what it is as far as I'm concerned.) We're working on the house and plan to sell it and move to a little bigger pad where we can live out the rest of our lives!
Who I'd like to meet: Oh, just people that are creative and stuff. Musicians are always good people to talk to. Maybe the Counting Crows just because they are one of the few bands out there that I still consider original. Kinda like Incubus too - bands that throughout their careers continue to put out good music but don't release an album that sounds like everything else just to pick up the latest fad or put out an album that is basically a continuation of the one prior. It's nice when people do different things. It'd be nice if the public was a little more accepting of that and wasn't so hung up on a band or an artist having to sound exactly the same as they did 10 years ago.
Hey...thanks for the text the other night! When I got it, I had a few brews already, and I could NOT figure out how to stop the "auto" text fill in on my dinosaur phone! Anyways...thanks man!
Dude, that is the most awesome pic! We agree--dinner was a blast!! I figured after calling you "Uncle Chris" we'd never hear from you again! Sometimes my blonde moments are waaaay too obvious; that day I was on a roll. We have GOT to get together again very soon. Saturdays are best for us right now w/basketball games on Fridays. Just let us know. Have a great day, Cath :)
