Outside of Music and Music related items... not much else. Although I do like Classic Horror movie collectibles and movie posters and I have a weakness for cool "action figures". I'm not a record collecter, but I do have quite a few original Sun Record releases. I also have several cool and unique Autographs... Including ELVIS!

There is NO WAY to list all the artists I truly enjoy. In one day I will listen to Elvis, AC/DC, Tom Jones, John Denver, Otis Redding, Neil Diamond, Ray Charles, Dean Martin, Johnny Thunders, Sam Cooke... and that's just the beginning!
Movies
I LOVE Movies, everything from quality award winning films to complete trash!
I have a fondness for Classic Horror and Classic Comedy. One of my all time favorites is Harvey (James Stewart). I can appreciate Blue Velvet, The Devils Rejects or The Toxic Avenger as much as I can The Unforgiven, Walking Tall(the original) or Shine. What I can't stand is BORING! Oh, and Porn is good, but I like the 70's era When women were women. Big Tits and Hairy Beavers! Long Live Annie Sprinkle!!
Television
Unfortunately I've fallen into the 200+ channel curse. I flip more than I actually watch, and that's usually between Midnight and 4:00 AM, but I do enjoy Drawn Together, My Name Is Earl, MXC Challenge and I'll always stop to watch a classic Bugs Bunny Cartoon.
Books

Heroes
My Heroes are the Bands that are out there traveling the country and dealing with all the bullshit that they shouldn't have to deal with just to get food or gas money to make it to the next gig. I did for a long time, but bands like The Red Hot Poker Dots, BR5-49, The Cigar Store Indians, Bobby Bare Jr. and all the others that are too numerous to mention, THOSE are the real heroes. Never give up the dream. Do it cause you love.

About me: I was born a poor black child in Fountain Square...well, that's not exactly true. I mean I was born...but I wasn't black, though I was a child. I was, however, born in Fountain Square in 1964 - the hillbilly, white trash mecca of the universe. Even the cops referred to that area as "The Swamp" and us as The Fountain Square Hillbillies.
I helped start a little punk rock band called Sloppy Seconds in 1984 and we released a few recordings on a few labels like Toxic Shock, Metal Blade and Taang!...and that doesn't include the labels that decided to re-release stuff without our permission. We did a lot of shows and tours with a bunch of crazy ass bands like KGB, Toxic Reasons, Zero Boys, the Circle Jerks, Naked Raygun, D.O.A., Fugazi, Danzig, Poison Idea, Mad Parade, Trash Brats, the Mentors, and a bunch of other freaks that got me drunk and corrupted my young mind.
I started up Hot Rod Nebula and then later The Magnatones.
Then I stayed a month in Germany touring with the German punk rock band KGB and my longtime friends Tufty Clough (Toxic Reasons/Zero Boys) and Mark Cutsinger (Zero Boys) - we started a little rockabilly side project in Germany and kept it going when we got back to the States and called it "Bigger than ELVIS". There's a bullshit saying that rockabilly is where old punk rockers go to die...I was playing rockabilly WAY before I was playing punk and I hate that saying like a chicken hates Col. Sanders. But in the same breath, I don't consider myself a "rockabilly" anymore than I can consider myself a "punk". I am also curretly fronting a 3 piece Hot Rockin' R&B/Blues/Soul with Jeff Stevenson and Glen Hopkins called "The Mess Arounds" - I just am what I am ... The ORIGINAL ROCK-n-ROLL BASTARD.
I'm a weird guy with weird friends...they're all nice friends, but they're all weird friends. The weirder the better. And I am married, but I do enjoy a sneaky peek now and then, so if you're showin'... I'm LOOKIN'!

Who I'd like to meet: In General, I'm up for meeting anyone and everyone, unless you're an annoying bastard, I have enogh of those in my life. as for my heroes, I've been very fortunate to have met many of the musicians that I have admired and that has (and still do) influenced me. The most cherrished of these meetings was with Scotty Moore who I am proud to now call a friend.
I've met Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Sam Phillips, Reggie Young, Danny Gatton, James Burton, Steve Cropper, Bob Moore, Boots Randolph, Kenny Lovelace and many other lesser known musicians that have deeply inspired me.
The one person I regretfully never met was Johnny Cash. I had the chance once when he was scheduled to perform at a small local venue here in Indianapolis in 1995, but I had plans the evening he performed and I assumed I could catch him next time around...
I LOVE to laugh. When I was a kid I would sit in front of the TV every Sunday and watch Abbott & Costello, Martin & Lewis and The Marx Brothers. I'd really like to meet Jerry Lewis someday.

I've said it eighteen million times... but Bigger Than ELVIS last night? Freaking amazing. Everything Tufty did complimented your voice like you wouldn't believe and without drums you could hear every tiny thing you did...it was seriously amazing. That entire crowd was dead silent just watching and listening to you guys! There's not a better compliment in the world!!
