Rock and Rye is David Smith and Robin Davis on guitars, Bruce Allsopp on banjo, Steve Williams on bass, Red Greer on fiddle, and Jeff Hibshman on mandolin.
Musicians who have been in the lineup over the years have included: Cindi Troutman- fiddle and vocals, Rob Lawrence- guitar and vocals, Jack Tallmadge- mandolin, Chris Becker- mandolin and vocals, Hap Purcell- banjo, and Benny Galloway- bass.

Rock & Rye is a Durango, CO bluegrass band that focuses mainly on traditional bluegrass music. The band formed in 2005 for David's 30th birthday party to play at a bar that has since burnt down and most recently colasped under snow. Though the band is not rresponsible for the fire or the snow, Chris Becker most likely is.
Now entering 2008 the band is a "Stable" 6 piece with Bruce Allsopp on banjo, Steve Williams on bass, David Smith on guitar and two incredible Durango musicians joining in: Robin Davis on guitar and Jeff Hibshman on mandolin. Then there's Red. He's real good. Look for this lineup of Rock and Rye playing well into the summer of 2008. We've even got us a couple of festivals!
The band is looking forward to continuing in the ways of bringing good times to audiences.
Brother, I tell you this: when they invented this "myspace", I was pretty skeptical. I dont' know my right from my left when it comes to these computers. But man, all the old Dog fans really came out of the woodwork--but now they've all jumped ship and went over to this "facebook". But I pretty much got'm all in the DOGHOUSE now and I'll continue to bowl'em over in the bars and clubs throughout this great country. Now they know! They know the DOG is alive and kicking BUTT. Let the riffs roll and the rock power on! Maybe I'll have to hop on that facebook racket one of these days.

Regular Old Time Gig at The Laughing Goat
Hey Friends and Fans- I will be presenting old time music at the Laughing Goat in Boulder one sunday per month. The core will be myself and Ryan Drickey but we will regularly include special guests to keep it fresh.
We will focus on traditional and new music that draws from Appalachian fiddle music and rural blues. Here are the dates:
