Voodoo Souls was formed in early 2007 by Greg and Dom after an Eric Clapton concert. They first decided to play rock & roll/blues. A few weeks later, church-mates and good friends Surath and Lester joined to form the full band. The band jammed together and came up with several originals, even participating in a competition in which the judges enjoyed the original. Not long after, the band decided to undergo a name change, thus becoming The Souls. Ju, a church-mate and a good friend, joined the band a couple of weeks later to share her talents.
With many different influences and musical preferences, our music is a fusion of several of genres, ranging from rock & roll and blues to hard rock and indie, and even funk. We don't really classify ourselves under a specific genre (maybe blues or rock & roll), but we play what we like and we like what we play. We believe that music is not just entertainment. It is an art. It is a way of life.
We are currently working on more originals, and picking up where we left off. New song by Jan 1 2009! Check back here soon.
