Rutherford Bennington, Lead Vocals

Rutherford was born with a silver spoon deeply embedded all the way under his uvula. Despite his parents' continuous urging that he should grow up and enter the financial sector, Rutherford ran away from his Connecticut upbringing and slept on hundreds of filthy floors in the dankest parts of New York City. A chance encounter at an open-mic hootenanny introduced him to the three other members of the group, who would become Rock Band Band.

In his youth, Rutherford starred in many musical theater productions. He still retains a keen fondness for soft-shoe tap routines.

Rutherford enjoys traveling the world and sampling the most exotic and esoteric of global cuisine, as long as it's accompanied by a nice glass of red wine.

Rutherford prides himself on his ability to transform, Zelig-like, into whatever genre of rock 'n' roll is the most amazing. He also prides himself on only sleeping with women who have remarkable rear-end assets.

Max Griffiths, Guitarist Extraordinaire

Max has been playing guitar for Rock Band Band since he was just a wee baby. His father, a one-time church choirboy, encouraged Max to pursue his musical interests. Once Max discovered the guitar, he never looked back (in anger or otherwise). Max possesses an amazing ability to focus only on the guitar, to the exclusion of absolutely everything else. He is most happy when he's in a small, stuffy room, rocking out.

Max is innately talented and is the highest-ranked plastic guitarist in the entire universe.

Max enjoys store-brand chocolate chip cookies.

Max is still pissed off that he didn't get to be part of "We Are the World."

Max tends to withdraw, turtle-like, when he feels threatened. This self-defense measure comes in handy when the rest of Rock Band Band is melting down.

Max likes catching butterflies and roasting marshmallows over a nice campfire.

Shakti Lipschitz, Bassist

Shakti comes from a town she refused to name in Long Island. She's worked for years to eradicate the accent. Shakti has had a long and storied career filled with drug and alcohol abuse and several decades of promiscuous and debaucherous behavior. She tends to fall off the wagon, bruise her tailbone, and climb back up again. As the lone lady in the band, Shakti has been, in her own words, "excessively tolerant" of all the female bandies. She has never dated another rock star because they're all intimidated by her awesomeness.

After Rock Band Band publicly exploded on Unplugged, Shakti moved to Israel, where she spent several years working on a Kibbutz. She says that those years surrounded by turkeys prepared her for the trials and tribulations of being a rock chick.

Shakti loves a cold martini, but won't turn down any sort of intoxicating substance. She's known for getting sloshed and telling people how much she loves them.

Shakti has been at the forefront of rock 'n' roll fashion—she was the first rock star to wear ripped fishnets, and she basically pioneered grunge.

Captain Thunderdome, Drums

Captain Thunderdome, whose legal name is also Captain Thunderdome, believes that there's no such thing as going too far or rocking too hard. While his fashion choices are extreme, he's actually a mellow guy who just wants to gaze out at the ocean whilst pondering his own place in the universe. A naturally gifted percussionist, the Captain has been drumming since he was a toddler. He was trained by nuns in his early years of parochial school, and thinks the Catholic influence is why he is now able to rock so very darn hard.

Captain Thunderdome is the glue that holds the band together. When everyone else is fighting, the Captain chants his drum parts over and over again. The Captain doesn't like answering questions about himself, and prefers to boost the perception that he's an enigmatic figure. He's been known to bark at reporters who pry too deeply.
