Rock City News started in 1983 on a dark and stormy night. It was a "scratchy" season as rap and goth were brand new and a howling wind was a blowin'. The Red Hot Chili Peppers formed in a midnight typhoon as Anthony and Flea finished high school were indoctrinated into the world of demons and dames, and the old school punks were always hanging out the the infamous Zero One club.
As time progressed, Guns and Roses found their way onto the pages of Rock City, and were soon superstars. Appetite for Destructions was released in Los Angeles on the day of the 1989 earthquake and the avalanche had begun. Today Rock City News reaches over 150,000 readers every week, and as a joint venture with Entertianment Today, has given a new look to L.A.'s underground music scene.
