About Rocker Lips(Jan.15th @ AfterShock w/ Nigel Dupree)
Rocker Lips has been performing in Kansas City and surrounding areas for 2 and a half years. A triumvirate, Rocker Lips consists of:
Matt Rumans - Guitar/Lead Vocals
Andy Cantrell - Bass/Vocals
Chris Richards - Drums/Vocals.
Together they deliver a hard-hitting, high energy brand of rock and roll with an intensity that has been lacking from music in recent years.
With the release of their self-titled EP in August 2008, Rocker Lips has been receiving air play in numerous cities as well as several independent radio stations and internet radio broadcasts.
The band has also shared the stage with many established national acts including L.A. GUNS, Nigel Dupree, Sex Slaves, American Dog, The Start, Lions, White Witch Canyon, SuperGiant, Black Gasoline, The Effects, The Mellismatics, The Lonely H, and Benjamin Del Shreve to name a few.
Recently Rocker Lips has been recording their full length album wich will be available early 2010.
Influences: Mostly free beer, long hair, shredded vocal chords, and high voltage feedback! With sex, smoke filled rooms, territorial pissings, poor diet, bass fuzz, bright lights and screaming fans!

You all have worked so hard on your talents, your specialties in the field of managing, designing, artistry, producing music, co-producing, helping others, supporting others (such as myself) in these fields so that they can get a break into what ever field their mastery is in, clothing, music, to create notes that fit the melodies that you are looking for, the tempo, the drums, the guitars, the vocals. Take credit in knowing that I am one of those people who cares about all of the hard work you have put into each of your specific talents and professions, and just ordinary people who have come to make oodles of friends like I have who just want to reach out and touch someone's heart. So, take head that you have someone is in your court to stay where ever you go on your gigs, concerts, promotional trips, galleries, fashion shows, whatever. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your world of music. Also, I want to thank you for your patience in my getting back with you. Antivirus/spyware software problems decide not to respond sometimes and when that happens, I have to reboot and start from scratch, and that really sucks. Should the band decide to get a banner, plz let me know so that I may post it on my profile to help spread the word about your music for future friends and others who come to visit my site. HAD ENOUGH-This guy is telling this guy or girl that he has had enough of the shit that he/she has been dishing out with things that he/she has done. He/she has treated him like shit, had problems with the law possibly and just decides that enough is enough. So, he decides to leave him/her stranded right where he/she is. You guys sure know how to rock the house down. APPLY WITHIN-He is wanting her to lie to her mom. Tell her that she is working overtime to make some extra money. He has plans of wanting to get it on with her even though she seems to be a little too young. So he is describing the situation as writing out an application for a job. Instrumentals and solos are good. Ewwww, guitar tickling!!! I liked that. Great job, guys. ROCK N ROLL LIVIN'-Like the intro. This song is sung about rock and roll music never dying. It will always be around. This is also about becoming popular. You have to start somewhere. Whether it be living to play rock and roll or metal. You have to have a special beat to keep it rock and roll. He is also describing what he likes to do when playing rock and roll for recreational purposes, drink a little, smoke a little. He is able to show you exactly what he is capable of doing since he is living rock and roll. Great job. Been a while since I have heard some really great rock and roll music. Continued.
SHORT FUSE-This little piece is about being at the wrong place at the right time. He is a short tempered person. They sometimes have to lock him up because of his temper. He has his own way of doing things. He is talking about his persona and if he sees someone on the ground bleeding, he would just leave them there because it is none of his business. No one believed the type of person he is until they saw him at work. This guy is a real piece of work. MOMMA DIDN'T RAISE ME-He is who he is. Take him or leave him. He is tired of routine and mundane things like sleeping in his own bed. He is asking this broad if she actually wants him or not. He knows she wants him, but he is who he is. He has no manners to speak of. He wants to know what he has to get her in bed. He is a layback, crude and wants her to give him, more or less a table dance. He speaks his mind, does what he wants and will use people to get what he wants. He shoots from the hip and tells people that he was not raised by a woman, his mother. So, either you take the whole package or not at all. OUT THE DOOR-Like the beat to the intro of this piece. Seems to me this guy has repeated the same mistakes he has made in the past. Now he finds out what she is really like, one evil bitch. But all he wants to have is one more drink and leave. He tells her that he is not her type. He has allowed himself to get involved with a girl who possibly wants more than he is willing to give, so he is going to take one more drink and leave before things begin to happen again. FAT CAT FESTIVAL OF ROCK-This is an introduction of bands that will be playing at the FatCat Festival. All R&B bands from all over are here. The date is August/2009 this year and the band Rocker Lips is apart of this event. I am soo proud to hear that you guys made it to the FatCat Festival. You guys were amazing at the FatCat Festival of Rock! Thanks again for saving us with some of the equipment. Your set was awesome, sounded great. It was great to meet you. We will not miss you next time you're up in Milwaukee. Thanks again for everything.
