AERIAL LOVE FEED 2008
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In Spring 2004, the US is at war, there is political insecurity, the apocalypse is looking nearer everyday, and in the midst of all this intense passion and vehemence, Rockethouse is born. Layering electronic elements and hip hop break-beats with thundering, distorted rock, Rockethouse music is noisy, dynamic, and ominous, but not without hope.
Made up of Wade Settle (singer/songwriter), bassist Gerry Rustic, guitarist Andrea Sicco and drummer Robert Bonhomme, their cohesive sound blends electronics, samples, pulsating rhythms and a wall of guitar noise- or what you would get if you mashed up BRMC with the beats of Public Enemy. Noticeable influences include the Jesus and Mary Chain and “Exterminator-era” Primal Scream. In June 2004, the band worked with producer Bill Racine (Flaming Lips, Longwave, Phantom Planet) and recorded their first full-length album, titled Weapons of Mass Distortion.
Previous to all this, Wade Settle and Gerry Rustic were in Aerial Love Feed (A.L.F.) which earned a triple shot of recognition in the fall of 2003 when the New York Press named them "NYC's Best Stealth Band," followed by a CMJ New Music Report cover and article proclaiming them “NYC's Best Kept Secret," and best unsigned band, and lastly, Spin included them in a short list of emerging NYC bands. The band included a demo of “Pedestal” on the NY: The Next Wave compilation alongside the likes of Stellastarr* and Elefant, with whom they have often played with. Also from the compilation, WOXY put “Pedestal” into heavy rotation, and Filter Magazine said, the song blends distorted guitar, pulsating samples and post-punk vocals for a "roaring rock and roll attitude that has kids jumping on the dance floor."
Though two members of A.L.F. remain and two songs on the upcoming album were original A.L.F. songs (Temporary Glitch & Retrieve the History), the band has progressed; where A.L.F. offered up trippy, fuzzed-out shoegaze, Rockethouse drives home "the aggressive electro punk styled rock and roll emerging for an apocalyptic assault," (Mary Huhn, NY Post).
Where A.L.F. was a best kept secret, Rockethouse will infuse a shot of deep, layered rock into the current musical scene.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------QUITE LITERALLY, THE BEST THING I'VE HEARD ALL YEAR!
Reviewer: Brooke Summons/NY Underground-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I must admit, I had reviewed "Rockethouse" previously for their first record. I was floored at how good it sounded. They strive for a very apocalyptic, dancey and distorted rock sound. The result is very sexy. The new record is a more matured effort. It is produced clearer and the songwriting has expanded into a whirlwind of catchy pop songs that could qualify as evil dance tracks. It is very hard to believe they don't get more attention. These guys bring enough hits to a record, that should make other similiar band(see Kasabian, Black Rebel motorcycle club)hang their head in shame.

Un Free se taille pour the space
"Hello toc toc toc….
