Everything from old school blues & country to AC/DC, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart and the Faces, Jimi Hendrix...Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Kiss, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat, Skid Row, Alice In Chains, The White Stripes, The Black Crowes, Tenacious D, E.O.D.M, The Cult, Radio Moscow & The Sword. And we wouldn't be a self respecting band of female rockers, if we didn't give a shout out to Heart & Vixen too!
Do you have all day to hear the rest?
Rocket Queen is a real rock & roll band, with bluesy licks, chunky riffs and a rhythm section to make your heart pound...the best part is, they’re all Woman.
At the core are Freeland sisters Clea, Ailie & Fleur - three Melbourne girls raised on a heady diet of rock n' roll. With vocals smooth, dynamic and strong, Clea's melodies perfectly complement the driving force that Fleur and Ailie create on bass and drums. Completing the lineup, is Jaqui Lyttle on guitar. A country girl originally, this mysterious lady found her way onto Clea and Ailie’s couch late one night, awash in a sea of salt and tequila...and later into the band, bringing with her a rawness and passion that belies her unassuming stage presence.
Having already graced the stage with such rock legends as Dallas Crane, Gun Street Girls & Electric Mary at many of Melbourne's prime venues: Ding Dong Lounge, Revolver, The Evelyn, The Espy and more.
This band is sassy and sexy, with a whole lot of charisma. What's more, they rock...and with a live show described as all of the above, Rocket Queen are definitely something to see. Make absolutely certain that you do!

G'day Come on down to the Tote on Sunday the 27th of September to celebrate the end of another Footy season. The back line will be ably defended by Gruntbucket. Coming off the bench to take their position on the wing are Dirty York. Winning the ball at all the stoppages will be the mighty mid field attack of The Get Go. They'll send the ball rocketing toward the fantastic forward line of Clinkerfield who are sure to kick a swag of goals. There'll be plenty of snags on the barbie to help with the hangover.
A brand new website for bands and musicians has just arrived on the scene. eatnoise.com is a new worldwide gig guide, dedicated to promoting original music and connecting original bands and artists with local and international audiences. Australian artists now have the privilege of being the first to use the new site currently in its BETA phase.
Artists can simply create their own band profile with eatnoise.com and enter their gig/tour details. Everyone's gigs/tours can then be searched according to date, genre and location. Artists can also send news feeds to keep their fans informed about tours, album releases and anything they like. Each band profile page can also host videos and link through to existing myspace, facebook and twitter sites.
