Rock for a Remedy, Inc (RFAR) is a non-profit organization that partners with local food relief organizations and national touring artists to both gather food/monetary donations and encourage youth and adults to better their communities through charitable efforts. RFAR's mission is to not only alleviate hunger in North America, but to also encourage and motivate concertgoers to volunteerism and develop sustainable altruistic participation in the music industry at large.

Rock for a Remedy (RFAR) is a Vermont based non-profit bringing together socially conscious musicians and their civic-minded fans via food drives all across North America, with all donations given to area food banks in local communities. Audiences have passionately responded to the food drive revolution, providing the nearly 40 tons of food and several thousand dollars over RFAR’s three-year history. Each food drive directly benefits the community in which the concert is held.
Over the years, our participating artists have included:
Dave Matthews Band, Guster, Dispatch, Blues Traveler, Brett Dennen, Barenaked Ladies, Maroon 5, Gavin Degraw, Tristan Prettyman, O.A.R., Matt Nathanson, Damien Rice, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, State Radio, Train, Matt York, Jason Mraz, Third Eye Blind, Ray LaMontagne, Mieka Pauley, Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers. All of the work of the drives, including organization and promotion, is completed by RFAR, Inc. staff and volunteers.

Who I'd like to meet: RFAR, Inc. does not only limit their scope to only nationally known touring artists! As an organization, we feel strongly that everyone has the ability to make a difference in the world. In that vein, we encourage ALL musicians who would like to organize a benefit in conjunction with a live music performance to contact us. Additionally, volunteers are always welcome to join our already large and enthusiastic database of givers! When we come to your town (and we WILL come to your town), we can always use a hand with grassroots promotion and day-of-show efforts.
