Rock For Sudan
Benefit Concert...
All the money raised at Rock For Sudan is going straight to a missionary named Charity Lanman, who works in Sudan. Charity is located in Nyimbuli, Sudan, and runs one of the only medical clinics in the region. Since Charity has started the clinic in 2001, she has made a huge impact on the village! Drilling 11 wells in the area has brought the people and her clinic water that they never had, and lowers the risk of water-borne illnesses. Charity has also ministered spiritual aid to the villagers as well. It costs 7000-8000 a month to run the clinic. That includes buying and shipping in medical supplies from Kenya, the supplies to build the concrete medical clinic, food, and clothing for the Dinka village. Along with providing the people with basic medical care and treatment, Charity has a lot of goals for the next 10 years. Her goals actually bring the people in her village hope. She's not just offering them a service she will be teaching them how to farm, how to do basic medical procedures. She plans to build a full ward hospital, along with schools, and homes in the surrounding communities. "Catch a man a fish and he will feast for a night. Teach a man to fish and he will feast for a lifetime."
