Make the Rock Hall "Weird" is an international grassroots campaign organized by fans who want to see "Weird Al" Yankovic inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his career as rock music's foremost satirist.

We are currently urging our fellow fans to send greeting cards to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation on Al's behalf to request his induction. Cards can be homemade, store-bought, funny, musical, big, small, in-your-face, subtle, complex, wordy, full of information, or whatever you'd like, just as long as they convey one simple message: INDUCT WEIRD AL!

Meanwhile, we are still accepting footage from fans for a video documentary that will serve as an open letter to the Rock Hall Foundation's nominating committee to plead for Al's nomination and induction. We need fans to offer testimonials on camera, to allow to be interviewed, to film Al projects they may be working on, or anything else one thinks will be cool to include to show Al's impact on mainstream music.

Weird Al fans have been able to accomplish some pretty cool things when working together, from DVD releases to raising money for a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. It's time once again to band together and help out Al!

And not to be anal retentive or anything, but as much as we want all Al fans to feel welcome here and to shout their support at the top of their lungs (or type it at the tip of their phalanges), posting comments here is NOT the same thing as signing any sort of petition or writing to request Al's induction or volunteering. You'd simply be preaching to the choir. If you want to volunteer, you need to do it through the web site. Trust us, it's best for everyone involved that way.
