Interests

  • General

    In general, I like stuff...
  • Music

Pretty much anything (I know that's a tired cliché response, deal with it). Depending on my mood, I could be listening to something popular, something ancient, something angsty, or something everyone else says is crap. Mostly I'm listening to whatever is NOT currently on the radio 100 times a day.
  • Movies

An impossible question. Movies are my lifeblood...
  • Television

Pushing Dasies, BSG, Firefly, Farscape and various old shows now on DVD for easy access...
  • Books

Many, mostly contemporary fiction, but I'm a terribly slow reader. Recommendations always welcome...
  • Heroes

People who save lives. People who take risk and accomplish what others consider nigh impossible...

About me:

My name is Tony. I enjoy movies, music, art, books, coffee, good senses of humor, cynicism, and enlightening conversation.

Creativity is a driving force in my life. By day I do tech support. By night, I'm attempting to write, film, compose, or photograph whatever nonsense has been playing around in my head.

I'm not fond of these blurbs. They're generally a chore. If you'd like to learn more about me, take me out for coffee. I'm always up for meeting new people.

"The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it." - George Bernard Shaw

MY OTHER SITES:
DeviantArt
Blogspot - http://rock-hollywood.blogspot.com/ (I couldn't put the link here because Myspace thinks Blogspot sites are evil apparently.)

Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone, everyone. As long as you're somewhat friendly, and open-minded.

And this kid, so he can teach me the Pirates of the Caribbean theme.

And I'm always down for seeing these cool cats again.

    Happy birthday!

We do get a lot of Saturday shows, and it's really important that we have the full band at shows whenever possible.  Plus, we always always break even as far as trip costs go, and lately the profit has been pretty decent.

Message the Oddwood Myspace if you want to tryout.  Ian will give you specific info.  We're thinking of doing a tryout session the weekend of September 5.

  • Aug 21 2009 11:17 PM

Hey!  We actually don't practice that often, but almost all our shows are fair-type things that go on on weekends.  Do you work weekends?
  • Aug 19 2009 8:07 PM

    Thanks!
  • Aug 19 2009 7:37 PM

I came here to say "i love that my RI graffitti is still your main picture" and like a bad game of telephone i translated that TO MYSELF into "I'm going to kidnap your girlfriend and giver her a weekend she will never forget."

How does that even work? Meg does mysterious things.

The Browncoats had to repost the new video with SNL actor Bill Chott due to some "hands of Blue" audio problems. So here's the new link. NOT a Firefly oriented video, just another guerrilla marketing effort for Firely in a different direction. Enjoy!

I know, right! I was super excited!
  • Jul 24 2009 6:17 PM

Well, we finally put up the new video with SNL actor Bill Chott and "Honkey" from MTV's Spring Break (see the blog). And we have absolutely no explaination for our actions!! WARNING: If you are squeamish, DO NOT watch this video.  But if you appreciate goofy and gross humor, have a blast. (Sick people are HI-LARIOUS!)
We have no freakin' idea what made us do this.  But feel free to comment anyway. And don't forget about our Debut Album coming out September 1st!!
