Bändin kolmas albumi “Don’t Pretend That You Know Me” julkaistaan Suomessa ke 29. toukokuuta ja bändi esiintyy YleX Pop –festivaalin aikana Bar Loosessa Helsingissä toukokuun 29. pv.
Albumilta löytyvä ”Miss me when I’m gone” –kappale oli viikon 21 tehobiisinä YleX:llä.
Vuonna 2003 perustettu The Mojomatics on kahden hengen bändi jonka tiukka Garage-Punk-Rock’n’Roll henkinen soitto kuulostaa kuin mikä tahansa useamman hengen vastaava kokoonpano, ja itse asiassa bändi peittoaa mennen tullen useimmat hengenheimolaisensa.
MojoMattin ja DavMaticin muodostaman The Mojomaticsin musiikki on bluesilla maustettua punkia, juurevia pop-harmonioita ja rehevä country-särmää. Bändin soitto on täynnä villiä energiaa ja alkukantaista kiihkoa, aivan kuin rock’n’roll olisi jälleen kerran keksitty uudelleen.
Bändin levyjä on jo aiemmin julkaistu useissa maissa ympäri Eurooppaa ja yhtye on ehtinyt kiertää useasti ennen Suomea mm. Saksassa, Ruotsissa, Norjassa, Hollanissa, Ranskassa jne. Bändi on myös ehtinyt uransa aikana lämmitellä mm. sellaisia yhtyeitä kuin Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Black Lips, Arctic Monkeys, Gogol Bordello ja Radio Birdman.
The Barefoot Brothers release the final part in their theme album trilogy, Return of the Lost Horse 25 March 2009.
The first part, acclaimed album Vermo Reverb was released in 1998. This psychedelic trash country master piece was followed by Rehab Convention (2005) and now Return of the Lost Horse.

The French-Finnish pop sensation The Dø first drove the media and music listeners wild first in France and is currently stirring the Finnish music scene. Next up is the rest of Scandinavia. Band’s debut album ‘A Mouthful’ will finally be released officially in Finland on Wed 9/7 and rest of Scandinavia on Mon 1/9.
The Dø is comprised by French-Finnish Olivia B. Merilahti and Tunisian-English-French Dan Levy who combined their strengths after getting to know each other during a film music project they were both involved in. Followed by the hype surrounding the band, ‘A Mouthful’ went straight to number one in France in January 2008 and the band melted the nation’s hearts with their energetic live shows. The Dø became number one with the help of their hugely popular MySpace-site and as the single ‘On My Shoulders’ ended up as the theme song to an advertising campaign. By June 2008, The Dø had had over 2,4 million visitors on their MySpace-site and their album had already sold approximately 130 000 copies in France.
‘A Mouthful’ includes refreshing and pop music reshaping tunes and it’s filled with catchy melodies. The Dø’s performances emanate playful self-confidence and the sheer joy of creating. The band combines pop, rock, folk, trip hop, electro and soul in a fascinating way. Olivia’s charming vocals bind it all together as the unique The Dø-sound.

Kuolleet Intiaanit is a group that claims the artistic liberty belonging to it and takes all fun out of that liberty. The band virtually overindulges with that freedom. The debut album Puuluuranko opens up imaginative surreal world on which nihilism hits the listener in the ear and occasionally strokes the skin lightly like a feather. Hilariously aggressive and insane world gets drawn on the listeners mind with the spinal technique of lyrics. This is done in the way that is better known in fine arts than in music. Songs invite the listener to the crocodile hunt, tell about committing suicide by drinking sand or warming up by using camel shit, there are songs about the swing swigging the yard, old people getting renovated, living without brains just like lunatics etc. Kuolleet Intiaanit is a mystical group hiding behind stage names and refusing to give interviews. Puuluuranko is the art gallery of Kuolleet Intiaanit and the songs are paintings hanging on the walls of that exhibition room. The interpretation and experience of those art works is left to the listeners/spectator. On stage the band almost turns to sheer theatre. The group has built a reputation for itself with bewildering and ferocious live performances. The bands music and lyrics are something previously unheard of, but its their live performances in particular that are unprecedented. www.kuolleetintiaanit.net
Shake your bon-bon, there's a new Bon Jouni song called Game Over available for download and streaming!! Enjoy it, love it, hate it, comment it, leave it, but check it out!
Ok, a bit hung over, so I decide to take out the trash in order to do at least something productive for a change. A small step for a man and damn sure for the mankind too!
So I open this door that leads to the shed where the trash cans are, and hmm.. what the heck is that supposed to be on the floor!?
There is this small, empty 2 decilitre carton of cream, sure, but the spiky thing hanging out of it keeps me puzzled for a few seconds.
I can feel a smile slowly growing on my face when I finally start to get it! A hedgehog, not much larger than the carton itself is half way in it trying to get what's remaining of the cream.
And probably went there too at the same moment I opened the door and is now too scared to move at all.
The hedgehog probably doesn't know the fact that I actually CAN see the rear end of it:).
I find myself stairing at this very curiously for another few seconds until I can see the hedgehog's center body move from breathing and the poor thing making this "phww"-sound, probably "Ok man, I give up!" in Hedgehoguese.
After this I realize that I probably distracted a special moment for this little fellow, so I leave him be to go about his business. Animals are funny:).
