The band is made up of a diversified group of professional musicians currently living in each of New York City's boroughs. There is a great mix of personality and caribbean nationality in the band. Rodney Blackman sees reggae music with his Eyes for the Future as lead singer Rockie Dan with his new band. The band expands the sound of reggae music with a new CD full of original songs set for release in September. Talk About Love and Make Hay are two new songs set to hit the airwaves revolving around melody, rhythm, love and spirituality.
The band is made up of a diverse group of musicians that all currently live in New York City and have roots in the reggae and music community.
Rockie Dan, originally from Guyana, currently lives in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. Adwen Moore (Chubby) also originally from Guyana and currently residing in Brooklyn is on the keyboards. Radss Desiree on bass guitar, originally from Dominica, now lives in Brooklyn. Keithroy Jackson (Kicker) living in Queens and originally from Antigua keeps the beat on the full drum-kit. Also from Antigua and currently making his home in Brooklyn is Leroy Tonge on rhythm guitar. Iawatta Hammha Selassie from Guyana and Vince Hunter from the Bronx both share with lead guitar responsibilities. Iawatta also fills-in with keyboard riffs. Richie Phillips, from Manhattan, plays sax, and arranges horn charts. Nate Birkey, recording artist, from Los Angeles plays Trumpet and Vincent Lebrun originally from Belgium (now a Brooklyn resident) is on trombone. Venise Maybanks from Jamaica (now living in Queens) and Janet Alleyne from Trinidad (now in Brooklyn) are the back-up vocalists behind Rockie Dan.
The new hit single "Talk About Love" was selected by director Brent Bambic for his new upcoming movie "Exploring Love" that will be debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2007.
Rockie Dan, Leroy Tonge and Richie Phillips have written the songs for the band.
