Werte Rock'n'Roll-Gemeinde!

„Rock 'n' Roll is back again“ lautete der Titel zum Review vom 11.02. Treffender kann man das, was die Bands am Stone'N'Roll-Fest abgeliefert haben, wohl kaum beschreiben. Man muss vorsichtig sein mit Superlativen, zumal sie speziell bei Eventbeschreibungen inflationär angewendet werden. Aber das war eines der besten Dinger überhaupt, die wir veranstaltet haben: dank an The Dazed, Grandfather, Between The Sheep und SuperCharger. Alle 4 Bands werdet ihr sicherlich in Zukunft wieder bei uns sehen.

"Unsere Events verstehen sich als Plattform für alternative Rock-Styles aller Art: Rock, Punk, Grunge, Crossover, nenn es wie du willst. Unser Ziel ist es ...Party für euch und für uns!" Wahnsinn, der Satz ist schon 17 Jahre alt und gilt ever, so auch am 14.04. Wie immer haben wir altbewährtes am Start, aber zum allerersten Mal auch Celtic Punk bzw. Cowpunk.

Keine Geringeren als The Mahones aus Kanada werden uns am 14.04 im Rahmen Ihrer Black Irish World Tour beehren - mittlerweile seit 21 Jahren mit Bands wie The Pogues, Dropkick Murphys, Shane MacGowan, The Street Dogs, Sick Of It All, Van Morrision uvam. unterwegs.
Mitglieder jener Bands unterstützen bzw. untertsützten The Mahones sowohl auf ihren 10 CD‘s sowie auch auf ihren Konzerten. „A band that sounds like The Clash, The Pogues, The Who, Shane MacGowan and The Popes, The Waterboys, Husker Du and The Dubliners, with a dash of Social Distortion and The Replacements“ - „Give it all you've got, or forget about it“. Ihr wisst, was auf euch zukommt.

Aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben: Wie versprochen und es hat sich gelohnt. Es hat sich gefunden, was sich finden musste. Und dafür gönnen wir gerne die Zeit, die es braucht. Nun ist sie reif. Tatatataaa, Rü del Gado (ehemals The Go Faster Nuns, Desert Sun) ist der aktuelle und der beste Schlagwerker, den man sich bei den Marples vorstellen kann . Mit aufwendigen Artwork, produziert von Chris von KillerArtWorks, werden Sie nun Ihre neue CD „Hell & Damnation" vorstellen. Melodiöse Vorschlaghämmer, Speednummern und die einzigartige Stimme von Fränk prägen das neue Album. Good, ol' Buddies ist auch das richtige Stichwort bei "The Legendary Shotdowns". Seit jeher Busenrocker der Marples sind sie die, die den Abend einleiten und die Release-Party abrunden werden. Jungs, wenn ihr den Bus vollkriegt, geben wir euch einen aus. „Joey Ramone meets Johnny Cash to sing songs Chuck Norris would die for!“, sprich 2cl Rock ‚n‘ Roll, 2cl Country mit einem guten Schuß Whiskey, fertig ist der Trink LSD Cowpunk, der euch pogen lässt.
