The Rockin' Bones originally formed in 1984. Since then they have undergone multiple lineup changes. Founding member, guitarist and lead vocalist Dave Nooe is based out of Wisconsin, but has carried the bones with him wherever he roams. Soon Nooe was joined by Dan Clark, Kurt Bauer, and Stab. In the 80's and early 90's Jonny Z and Dan Bush ran the rhythm section with bass and drums. This version of the bones released "Second Chance to Dance." The Rockin' Bones introduced original voodoo psychobilly to the people of the Fox Valley. Some call it cowpunk, rockabilly, alt-country, whatever the genre the Rockin' Bones are hypnotically dance friendly.
With several albums released, an appearance on MTV, and countless gigs throughout the United States, the Rockin' Bones are back in Wisconsin or wherever digging up their roots and finding a new fan base with prophetic rhythmic fury.
The current lineup features founder Dave Nooe on guitar and vocals. Kuitert of S.W.A.G. joins him on the drums as well as Rudy of Offend your Friends on the saxophone. Joe thumps the stand up bass from time to time, and Dave's daughter Charlotte plays electric bass. With new and old songs the Rockin' Bones have risen.
