Rockin' Rick Productions has been in business since 1990.
Rick Harrison started the company at the request of several bands and musicians in the High Point area because they knew he had several friends working in the music industry in the Triad area. They had feeling that they could trust him to booking them without having to worry.
Rockin' Rick Productions was started with a rented DJ system with no lights and very little music, just the basic dance music and some country music. The company currently has an extensive song list with the ability to add music when it is needed.
Due to the competition in this industry Rick Harrison decided to stop booking bands and start booking independently as Rockin' Rick Productions. As a disc jockey Rockin' Rick has over twenty-five years experience, starting at the age of thirteen doing school dances, and has worked hard to perfect a style of entertainment to accommodate most any functions, events, or environment. In these twenty-five years he has had the honor and privilege to work with several National and Regional acts, either as a disc jockey, Music Manager or sound Technician, and in this time has gained so much knowledge in all aspects of the entertainment industry.
In 1999 business started booming and the first DJ mixing board was purchased. More equipment was added slowly and eventually we had a complete sound system, but not quite a complete DJ show. Within a few months a light package and a light truss system were purchased, and more equipment was added until 2000, and then the show was complete.
In 1999, sons Brandon and Zachary started working with the company. As they learned everything they could perform the perfect show, they soon took off with the company. Soon worked their way up to running the company as CO-Owners. We are looking to expand our company capabilities in the near future so we can cover the increased demand for our service.

In 1991 Rockin Rick Productions was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation from the (Bartender's) Ball.
In 1995 we were awarded the Certificate of Civic Spirit Participation award from the (WOKX) (Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign). Finally in 1999 Rick Harrison was recognized for his ongoing contributions to the growth and success of Davidson County. Rockin' Rick Productions is proud to have also worked with the American Cancer Society -Relay For Life, National Night out with the Lexington Police Department and the High Point Beep Ball Team.
