Bio
Bob Ruscus a.k.a Rockin'Ruckus is a one man acoustic band. I have been performing covers of Classic Rock, Blues, Folk, and Country in NJ for 20+ years. I just completed my first on a cd of my own material. I sing, play guitar (electric and acoustic) blow harmonica on a neck rack and shake a maraca in my strumming hand. My purpose of this myspace is to connect with other musicians and fans alike. My goal is to create a difference in this world through the message of music.I believe that the network of musicians on this site can, will and do make that happen and I want to be a slice of this pie!!Most of all this is a revolutionary way to share in our talents. .. .. ..MyGen.. ..Profile Generator.. .. .. .. ..MyGen.. ..Profile Generator.. .. -

Influences
I've got way too many influences to list. What happens in life on a daily basis gives me my subjects to create music and lyrics. My 1st bands that inspired me the most were Boston, Kansas and Led Zepplin.Southern Rock followed then came the Blues! From roots to modern-country style or ripping rock style. From Robert Johnson to Joe Bonamassa.SRV is my favorite.I followed up with Jazz and Traditional folk. Took a trip to Albert Music Hall in Waretown and was astonished by the amazing picking abilities of the local Bluegrass musicians.I visit/play there often.Classic and modern Country music are also big on my plate. Hank Williams Alan Jackson Toby Keith Garth Brooks and Clint Black whoops forgot Johnny Cash!My favorites in that genre. It is imperitive that I mention bluesman Guy Davis. I had seen him twice in '07 and am still high on Guy! I seen John Hammond Sept 08 and HE was unbelievable!! I can't leave out the ladies either. Aretha Franklin,Bettye La Vette,Shamekia Copeland Shania Twain Tina Turner Nancy Wilson Bonnie Raitt.I can go on for hours. The tops on my list for singer songwriters are Bruce Springsteen,Bob Dylan and John Hiatt.I also can't forget the Grateful Dead.I think you have an idea of my taste and style. An absolute musical smorgasbord!I respect all styles even the genres I haven't delved in. -

Hi Bob,
Just wanted to say Thanks you for jamming last night. It was fun and I watched the vids, it almost looks professional like we've been playing together for a while. I noticed that we had some kind of communication going on without speaking. I am going to put Turn the Page on my profile if you have no objections. I think it really was good until I faltered a little at the end. But the way I started slow and kicked it up a notch a little for each verse seems to have worked pretty well.
As always it is nice to be around you and Jarmo. You are both very pleasant.
Thanks again
Peace
Debbie
