Pure unadulterated fun. The Rockin' Roadrunner Club parties like its 1999. 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, disco, punk, new wave, country, pop, electro, R'n'B, even Take That.
The 'Rockin' Roadrunner Club' was born on Monday 5th February 2007 at The New Roadmender in Northampton and has been hailed as the greatest Club experience in the whole world. The 'Rockin' Roadrunner Club' was conceived as a Club Night for Adults with Learning Disabilities. Our aims are to give people the best night of their lives in a REAL Club venue and to develop a committee of Rockin' Roadrunner Clubbers to take on the running of the Club.
The 'Rockin' Roadrunner Club' happens once every three months, and has featured such talents as 'The Whiley Sisters' (Frances & Jo), 'The Wild Bunch' from London, Brighton's 'Heavy Load', and the wonderful 'Rachel Warwick & The New Jack Union'.
We are always on the look out for local Bands/Singers/Musicians to perform at our Club nights. If you are interested then please get in touch, either through this 'Myspace' site or by emailing dmgriffiths24@yahoo.co.uk
Clubber's Comments
"I saw alot of my friends including my boyfriend Andy. I had my photo taken with Andy on the balcony. It was a very successful night, there were lots of people there and I met Jo Whiley again. I was pleased to see her, she signed my leaflet."
Ruth Pinney
"It was nice. I dressed smart and had a drink. My friends were there. I thought the men on stilts were funny and clever. The DJ was from Radio 1, I like her."
Dawn Thompson
"I had a fantastic time!... The band were excellent and I won a free CD for being loud in the audience... Rockin' Roadrunner wouldn't be as good if Jo and Frances Whiley were not there to do the decks!... I can't wait until December 10th for the next one!"
Lewis Allen
"It was the first time I have been to The Rockin' Roadrunner, it was brilliant! The band was good and I enjoyed dancing to the music."
Jonathan Sharp
"I got all dressed up for Monday's Rockin' Roadrunner. It was lovely to see all my friends who I hadn't seen for a long time! The music was wicked and I'm so excited about going to the next one!
Sarah Burbridge
"I like music, dancing and drinking. I see my girlfriend there and I bought a new Xmas T-Shirt."
Matthew Warne
"Lots of nice people...I was chatting to friends. I like The Roadmender, I would like to go again."
