I was sat down to learn piano at the young age of…ok along time ago. My Mom said it was to better my worldly skills. My piano teacher said it was because I was a pain in the ass and she just wanted to get me out of her hair. Regardless, I was hooked on music at a young age. It all went pretty good until my mid teens when I realized what a bitch it was to haul a piano around to beach parties. So, I got an old POS guitar and learned a few basic chords and soon established myself as a piss-poor kumbia player that took beer bottles to the head every time I started to eak-out Take it easy. Oh well, I didn’t enjoy playing guitars cuz like my grumpy old 5th grade teacher with the metal edged ruler, it made my fingers sore. So, for the next 30 years I honed my worldly skills designing and customizing anything that rolls, floats or flies. Got good at it, made a lot of famous things for famous people, made money, raised a family and even had a documentary filmed about my career adventures. Anyways, back to the story…In the late 90’s out of the blue for no other reason than it was beautiful, I bought a guitar one day. A few weeks later I bought another and so on and on…and on. I started playing again. I picked up a really cool guitar at a small boutique one day and nobody seemed to know what it was. By chance a friend passed on to me a link (www.theguitar.net) to someone that had a guitar like one I had bought. Talk about fate, turns out, the guy was just down the road about 10 minutes. So I gave him a call and drove up to his place. Yup, Lyle Ronglien had one just like mine (he claims his was nicer). As it turns out, Lyle was a pretty accomplished musician, composer and producer having worked with some great names. At the time, I was just getting set to start filming a video for the Rockit Guitar (oh yea, I designed and built a really cool guitar, set up a manufacturing plant with workers and everything) and I invited Lyle to join in with me. The rest is history! Rockitman (Lyle’s nick-name) turned out to be one of the best pals a guy can find. His sidekick bass playing wife (She’s kinda nice, a little skimpy on top and heavy on the backside and verbally abusive...ok, not really) let us hang together. So she would feel included, we nick-named Kris “Rockit Girl” and promised her she could model with the guitars. But that’s another saga. I spent 30 years banging metal and in all that time, I never stopped humming my own tunes. Lyle spent that same time banging on his music career making tunes. I called and asked Lyle if he would help me get a few stuck songs out of my head. His amazing talent to do just that made it for me one of coolest thing I have ever done. Rockit Jam, “The Sessions” is that collaboration of music that Lyle and/or I wrote. All the music was recorded at "The Music Farm" in Mill Creek and produced by Lyle. We wish to thank the Band and the fine folks at Corona for their inspiration and never ending supply and support...Hot Rod

Great quote; "Action is the anitdote for despair." Unfortunately, I don't know who said it. lol
I think when we are constantly moving about, we are learning, changing and growing. But when we are inactive, we can feel like there is no hope. I personally am always glad when something gets accomplished in a day, even if it isn't the large change I am hoping for.

I see so many Christmas quotes and this is the one that seems to hit me this time of year; "And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more?" ~Dr. Seuss TIMELESS!! (and my favorite part of the cartoon is when the dog gets to ride on the sleigh with him. Awwwwwwwe!!!)
