Hey I'm Joshua, a mixer & songwriter in Hollywood, California. Originally from punk rock roots I started Rock It Recordings to work with up and coming artists in Chicago. My wife and I decided that in order to really immerse ourselves in the industry we'd have to move to either NYC, Nashville or LA and we both liked the LA option so on a crappy March afternoon in Indiana(and after quick break job on my Kia) we set off for Los Angeles and have loved every minute of it, even the rough parts. And so currently I'm working at Resonate in Burbank, CA. But I have worked at Blacklodge in Lawrence, Kansas, Conway Recording in Hollywood, California and Greg Collin's The Nook studio in Studio City, California.
My Credo:
"I believe that it’s the well written song that captures the heart of others and not the recording process itself. This is why classic albums are still listened to today. It's why on the night of February 9th, 1964 the Beatles made the whole US stand still."
