Movies
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. The movies. Well, as it turns out I could talk for hours about the movies. There are some wonderful films that have been made over the years. Many of them very low budget and not seen by that many of us. One of the BEST films to come out in a long time was SIDEWAYS. It just was a down to earth film that had CHARACTER. It took me somewhere that, THANK GOD, I had never been before, and yet stayed real. The dialog . . . .OH YEAH. I'm a big fan of dialog films. They give actors a chance to really explore their own characters and give them the one thing that connects with an audience . . . HUMANITY. And THAT IS PRICELESS. I sincerely wish I could have been one, but I'm a realist and smilin' Hawaiian faces just weren't the HOLLYWOOD thing when I was younger. I knew it, so hence a different path. I enjoy the film making process as well. I've had some kind of camera, be it super 8mm, video, or digital camera in my hands for over 30 years. Not professionally, just for my own enjoyment. And yeah, I'm a pic-ass about how my shots turn out. So, it goes without saying that when I see a blunder in films or TV, it drives me NUTS!!! Anyway, films are a part of our culture and to those who make them and star in them, my sincere thanks.
