Gentlemen at Warner Bros: I am a very big fan of Guy Ritchie, and I feel it is a very big mistake to NOT back his latest project. I know he has had some problems with his recent movies, but RocknRolla is a movie that harkens back to his heyday. Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch are two movies that I rent all the time! I love Guy Ritchie’s take on London’s underbelly. Having lived in the United Kingdom for a few years, I know how things have changed over there, and from what I have seen of the trailer of this movie, I know it shows how those changes are affecting life in London. I was very excited to see this movie, but since the LA Times article has been posted, I am heartbroken that I (who lives in rural Virginia) may not get the chance to see this movie. Sirs, with all due respect, I am sorely disappointed.
As a fan of character driven stories and quirky comedy, I have really been looking forward to the upcoming Guy Ritchie film, RockNRolla. Now having seen the trailer and hearing some great buzz about the film, I was disappointed to read that this film may not receive a wide release. Please rethink this strategy and bring this film to more cities. A good portion of film fans enjoy other fare besides the big blockbusters, and this film has a lot going for it; with a great director, a solid script and a stellar cast that includes Tom Wilkenson and Gerard Butler. The bloggers and fanboys are already salivating over this one!
What's this? ~ Do we want to see RocknRolla released nationwide here in the states? ~ What kind of ridiculous question is that??? Perhaps OneTwo needs to do a 'job' on WB. :D
I'll be a bit more than a wee bit upset if it isn't ... really want to see this on the big screen, as are so many, many others!!!
