HOWELL, NJ—The RockNRoll Chorus, America’s most exciting teenage a cappella vocal group, is auditioning for its third tour. In August 2007, they debuted their CD, “What They Didn’t Teach Us In School." “Take a Second Look,” their sophomore album, was released in the summer of 2008. The RockNRoll Chorus has entertained and amazed audiences of all ages at venues that include the PNC Bank Arts Center (Holmdel, NJ); The Point Pleasant Boardwalk and Radio Disney (Point Pleasant, NJ); Pier Village and Monmouth Park Racetrack (Long Branch, NJ); Street Life for Live Nation (Virginia Beach, VA); ACDA at George Mason University (Fairfax, VA); Magic Kingdom, Downtown Disney, and Epcot at Walt Disney World and Virgin Megastore (Orlando, FL); Charleston Aquarium and Charleston Music Hall (Charleston, SC); KISS Coffeehouse and Hard Rock Cafe (Myrtle Beach, SC); Inner Harbor Amphitheater (Baltimore, MD), The Headliner (Neptune, NJ.); Convention Center and The Stone Pony (Asbury Park, NJ); Molly Pitcher Inn and Riverside Gardens (Red Bank, NJ); as well as many of New Jersey’s famed county fairs! In addition, the Winter Cast embarked on a holiday tour at prestigious NY-NJ venues that include: NJPAC; Prudential Center; Sovereign Bank Arena, Trenton, NJ.; Atlantic City, NJ.; Bryant Park, NYC.; Rockefeller Center, NYC.; TRL at MTV studios, NYC.; Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, NYC., etc.
The RockNRoll Chorus is enjoying immediate commercial media success in the form of press coverage, live radio airplay and promotional events such as Radio Disney (New York, NY.) and 94.3 PST (Philadelphia, PA.). An in-store promotional appearance in Orlando’s Virgin Megastore (Downtown Disney) created a stir as several hundred unsuspecting customers, and fans alike ‘rushed’ the front of the store to catch a glimpse of the unique and penetrating energy performed the way only The RockNRoll Chorus can! Photographs, vacation videos and autographs followed!
The RockNRoll Chorus maintains a powerhouse cast of some of the best high school singers from all over New Jersey. The group comes together to learn about the music business, recording, touring, performance skills and entertainment production all through the vehicle of rock and pop music – music they would not ordinarily be able to experience in their high school music programs. Priority focus is on vocal health. Emphasis is placed on high production values, music business etiquette, music theory, ear training, vocal breathing skills, excellent forward placement, musicianship skills, healthy body maintenance, time management and interpersonal communication skills. The goal is to create music that resembles the original recordings of some of the most important hits of the past several decades. Once the competitive audition is complete, these young adults, instead of going away to ‘summer camp,’ record a CD, shoot a video and go on tour. It is a fantastic blend of professional and educational experiences that, according to these amazing young adults, have created valuable relationships and friendships that will last a lifetime!
