Move like a Rock n Roll Hero..........
Says it all, really......
Hurricane........Keef.........Written whist watching the 1st anniversary of 9/11.....but released for the victims of the hurricane in New Orleans, Galveston etc.....
Robert J.......Who?........You can only play Blues like this if you've sold your soul........
In the Tuning Room.......Just one hell of a lot of fun with ya best buddy........
Rock n' Roll as it should be played..........Mick n' Keef sharing a microphone.........is there anything better?........
Why?.....She's somethin' else
Keith..........Who????????
....and now for something completely different.......
Respectable
A Few Blokes walk into a Bar.......Fill yer Boots with Rock n' Roll....It's a bit like that...Loud, Raucous, In Yer Face, it was the Stones answer to Punk.........Knock their Bloody Sox off....Enjoy........
Sweet Black Angel
A little ditty from "Exile on Maine Street"...........It was featured on the Stones album Exile on Main St. Also released on single as the b-side to "Tumbling Dice" prior to the album.
"Sweet Black Angel" is one of the few outright political songs written by the Rolling Stones. The song was written about civil rights activist Angela Davis, who was facing murder charges at the time. If you have never heard of Angela Davis, you could easily overlook the political lyrics and get lost in the circular acoustic plucking or the washboard rhythm that propels the song so well. Yet, by knowing the case history one realizes how deft and clever Mick's lyrics could be.......so there ya go....comments on the left...I will tidy up the vox and add Harmonica............
Bye Bye Johnny
Just had to get involved on this one when I heard it......Rock the house, pull down the bar and go for it..........I added the Lil' Chuck bits....At about 1.38 in the middle of the solo we hit it spot on....Love it..........Hope you enjoy it.......Les Paul Junior, pure Rock n Roll......
Me n' Jumpin Jack...........
Hmmm.....played Malcolm twice over the drums and vocals...have not got around to doing Ronnies bit...He is too busy signing books at the moment.
Brown Sugar
Another old favorite........get past the opening line of the first verse and it rocks along nicely. Used micawber as usual.....but now beefed up with an early 'Nocaster' bridge pickup....10k... When I get chance will redo the vocals and add a bit of reverb to fill out the sound..............as usual post comments, good, bad and indifferent over on the left.
Les Paquets Rock
Well....a little bit of Chuck, a little bit of Keef and a little bit of SRV.......I put down a 12 bar blues over the drum machine and then just jammed the lead.....just a couple of days after meeting up with Wildhorse in Northern France and spending 2 lovely days with him and his family....I like to think the joy of those days comes out in the playing.....That is why it is dedicated to Patrick, Virginie, Anouk and Orlan.
Et pour mes amis en France........
Bien.
My Lil' Hero
