A tasty gumbo of indie-rock and pop (mostly), folk, electronica, spiced with small doses of traditional and experimental sounds, all this without any music from the UK and the USA (except for the one that closes the show).

Hosted by your dedicated Jean-Pierre Moya, Rockomondo is a radio-show broadcasted every thursday night from 9 to 11 p.m. on the airwaves of Radio Primitive (Reims and Champagne region, France) and from 10 to 11 p.m. on Eur@dio (Nantes and the area, from October 2007 onwards).
Mostly indie-oriented (but not only), mostly rock and pop (although eclecticism is the rule: what I like, I play), the main characteristic of Rockomondo is that it focuses on artists from other parts of the globe than the U.K. and the U.S.A.. Not that I don't dig American or English music (that's where my musical roots are !), but it's definitely more fun and excitement to do something different from other radio-DJ's and not to rely on the advice of music-media to make my choice.
Rockomondo is well-known for its "Special" shows focusing on a particular country (Spain in October, Sweden in January, Denmark in March...) and its acoustic sessions live in the studio: Jonas Bjerre from Mew (DK) came, and so did Rick Treffers from Mist (NL), Junko Nishimura from Mondialito (JP), and Jannecke and Michael Milo from King Me (NL) to name a few. Rockomondo also broadcasts exclusive gig recordings: Superheroes (DK), Aroah (E), Minor Majority (N), Under Byen (DK), Kristofer Aström (S) among others...
Although it's done the professional way, Rockomondo is still very much a music-fan affair. I don't receive any salary or subsidy for the very nice job that I do, and therefore only rely on the kind support of my correspondents (bands, labels, agencies...) to make all this work. So, if you think that your music could fit in Rockomondo, you're more than welcome to send promo-stuff to the show's adress (Rockomondo. 19 rue de Courcelles, 51100 Reims, France). I'll burn incense sticks and sing mantras for you. Honest !
Mes amis vont encore rire de ma passion pour les artistes du grand nord, mais comment pourrait-il en être autrement quand on écoute l'extraordinaire Parker Lewis, une découverte qu'une fois encore je te dois.
