I don't mind it either except when they go on 10 minute raids about politics and stupid shit

Justin: I think that there's a bigger chance for RHCP than Rage Against The Machine at ROTR

Edward: I personally don't mind when bands talk to the crowd. However there are times when they do it way too much. but then again there are the bands like 3 Doors Down who basically have no connection with their audience

RHCP, Foo Fighters or TOOL would be my early 90's band! To be realistic I would have to say TOOL or RATM...

I've seen mudvayne once and they we're amazing live. He does talk a little too much on stage but all in all they and we deserve the rock on the range add.

Hey Rangers :) hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.
Just wanted to say that there are really only 2 bands that i am REALLY hoping will be at ROTR '10 and they are Red Hot Chili Peppers and Mudvayne.Partly because I have not seen either of these bands live.

Edward: thanks for catching me on that. I knew I was missing someone. Not a huge Tool fan but I wouldn't mind seeing them there and I agree that Mudvayne should be there

we are forgetting that they might put an older band on one of the days. So if there is an older band who would you want. ZZ top was at the first and Motley Crue was at the last one. Stone Temple Pilots are early 90's i'm going with TOOL since there also a early 90's band

Dope would be a great add to the ROTR family!

Rise Against is a great band and they put on a pretty amazing show but I don't think that they would headline the main stage. I'd put them either as a stage 2 headliner or earlier on the main stage.
It seems that Powerman 5000, Rob Zombie, Stone Sour, and Skillet are names that keep getting brought up. I wonder if the ROTR organizers are paying attention to this page because if they are and they bring in those four it would be pretty great.
A band that I have never seen but would still love to see at ROTR would be Dope. I love their music and think that they would fit the festival pretty well.

Greg is right...SOAD will be on Hiatus for a few years to come but I give it no more then a 5 year break as record companies and the bands pocket book alone cant afford it much like Aerosmith cant afford to not be a band longer then maybe 6 months lol...

Im pretty sure I read something that A7X was not going to tour in 2010 as they were writing their "Epic" album to date but most bands like to over use the words "Epic" and "Heavy" anymore...

Edward: Adema I thought has a few Cali shows lined up and then I think we will see a spring/summer tour to follow and I think would be a perfect add for the 2nd stage...

as much as we'd all love to see it highly doubt that System Of A Down will be reunited by ROTR. I heard that Serj is working on his second solo album and has no current plans of ending SOAD's hiatus

Adema's original band members are back together. For those who don't know the lead singer is jonathan davis' half brother. Rock on the Range hopefuls? They have my vote.

Got a chance to see Down on the 2nd stage of Ozzfest 2002 and they were brutal live so yes...They would be a heavy add much like All That Remains was for ROTR 2009...

Hope everyone has a safe bar night tonight and a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends...

Snowballer: As you know I have an opinion on everything music because, well, i know my stuff BUT I do not knot it all...I promise you that! Rise Against is nothing short of amazing live and would be a one hell of a headliner for the 2nd stage or an early main stage act...
Justin

How in the world do you put Weezer on the 2nd stage? LOL...Cage the elephant is horrible live hey...if you loved Crazy Town live on Ozzfest 2001...you might like this band!

Snowballer: Here is some news for ya on your fav. band...Them Crooked Vultures self-titled debut album sold 70,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 12 on The Billboard 200 chart...Not bad in my opinion!

Sometimes perfection can be hell I don't think Rise Against is big enough to be the main band for day 2 but nice list otherwise maybe they can lead the 2nd stage or jagemeister though

Down! Yes! I did add them to my "wish list" (which is now deeply buried w/in the comments)
They opened for Metallica last year & got to the show too late. Got to see them perform their last song & that's it! :( I caught a Rex "Muther fuckin" Brown bass pic though ;) Rex has had health issues lately but I think he's on the mend so.....I hope they get added!!

Live Nation and Itunes have joined forces to offer digital downloads of whole concerts from Live Nation artists only for I think it said $7.99 each...so if ROTR can nab some top LN acts...you could get the show which would be bad ass since ROTR will not put out a DVD in the near future...
