Steph's Blurbs |
About me:
Well, I'm 30, I've lived in Aberdeen for just under a year, after a life changing move in 2005 - husband and I jacked our jobs in, left our big house, and dragged the kids 600 miles north, to the mountains of Scotland - and we haven't looked back.
I'm originally from Birmingham (no I don't have the accent!), went to university in Wales to follow my passion for environmental biology, convinced I could save the world. I finally landed a biology job three years after graduating (in between which I somehow ending up as an asbestos surveyor/analyst of all things) and realising that if you want to save the world don't expect to get paid to do it. Disillusioned, I've fallen to the dark side and now work in safety (anyone who knows me - stop sniggering!), finally ending up back at a university - unfortunately that just makes me feel old now - either that or students are a lot younger than they used to be!
