Heroes
There is Alexander the Great . Educated, inspirational, motivated, creative, and a visionary. The fire in Alexander's soul drove his success to reach his goal, to unite the world no matter the obstacle before him. That is the mark of a legend. And then there is Edward "Eddie" Vernon Rickenbacker . Eddie lived an amazing life spanning adventures as an auto mechanic, race car driver, decorated World War I pilot, business owner and executive in the racing and airline world, special ops in World War II, and an elder statesman along with so much more. Eddie's life is a mark of distinction with adventures only few can experience, not to mention one amazing story of how to pursue your passion. And never forget Parents . So kudos to the Parents for being supportive while still trying to figure out what the hell went wrong with me.
About me: "I've been called many names, some rather disturbing, but feel free to call me as you wish since I will answer to most..."
Who is Joseph? I'm a spontaneously planned and eclectic free-spirit, dreamer, and life adventurer. I have a calm, yet witty personality that can at times be intense from never ending creativity and life passions. I also tend to be like a fortune cookie and can ramble about nothing for hours. By nature I am a creature of the night, always most alive while the masses sleep (and yes, I do bite!). A charismatic leader, yet shy to those who are yet to know me. I'm addicted to hot sauce and enjoy storms, amusement parks, beaches, the ocean, the stars, and the freedom to express myself. Those who know me say I am edgy and definitely eccentric, a bit unique, but in a good way.
What are my passions in life? My true passions include music, flying, motorcycles, hot rods, good food, and experiencing life among friends. I enjoy venues where people, music, and bands set a unique vibe. I am drawn to nostalgic and gothic culture and can not live without live music and gothic pin-up girls to rock my world (did I say goth pin-up girls...lol). And thank you to all the hard workin' indie label/ independent artists who stay true to their musical passion and roots.
How do I pay the bills? This is a confusing question. The simple answer is that I am pursuing my career dream of someday flying for an airline or in business aviation. This means I am broke in the wallet, yet never broke in spirit. And always remember. Smart people never work a day in thier life... $$$$$
Is that it? Well yes... that's me! So no matter your thoughts at this point, when not flying, absorbing knowledge, or cruising the back roads you can find me at venues that support eclectic music and bands or at a hole in the wall restaurant or lounge. Come join me, it may be enlightening!
MY PHOTO HISTORY (YEAR 2000 TO PRESENT):
Who I'd like to meet: My adventurous 'Earth Angel'... where is she? And people who people who thirst for knowledge and have a passion for any of the following:
MUSIC: This is my life blood. Without music I have no salvation. I enjoy music ranging from Goth, Industrial, Synthpop, and Electro to Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Punk, and Indie. I also enjoy Jazz, Musicals, Lounge, Country, Singer-Songwriter, and more.
AVIATION: Flying is my passion and my poison. Alone, drifting through the sky, the world passes below. No worries. No phones. Pure tranquility and simple thoughts. All in the world is in its' proper place, everything just makes sense...
MOTORCYCLES: Vroooom... practical city transport with a satisfying grin. And of course a cruise down the coast, through a river valley, or along a mountain range is exhilarating relaxation. And most of all, riding is about freedom so helmet laws suck!
NOSTALGIA: I love Classic Cars, Hot Rods, Old Skool, Kustom Kulture, Happy Days, Three's Company, Sha Na Na, The Munsters, Buddy Holly, Graveyards, Gothic Culture, Historic Towns, etc.
FOOD & RED WINE: Ah, the way to my heart!
TRAVEL & ROAD TRIPPIN’: The U.S. and worldwide in a quest for survival, knowledge, and adventure.
Haha!!!!!!! LOL!!!!! That e-mail is peeerrrrrrrfect!!!!! No feeding the bears either! We really had those campsite regulars wondering what in the hell was going on every night at our campsite. They were so jealous and envious of us!!!!!!! Haha!!!!! That was the best!!!! I am looking forward to some good riding with you man! And also floating down the river on the tubes! That turned out to be sooo much fun last year. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon Joe!
Dude, That honestly is a SWEET damn bike!!!!! You've really done it right this time!!!!!! Good job man!!!!! I know that you're gonna enjoy that! Makes me wanna get one too! :)
Dude, It's 19 hours and 1200 miles to go from San Antonio, TX to Asheville, NC. You need to stop being a wuss and just commit to making that drive with the bike in tow so that we can enjoy our ANNUAL trip to BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY / SMOKEY MOUNTAINS. C'mon Bro!!!!!!
What up bro! I hope you are doing well. Man....I tell you....two things are on my mind. First.....I need to come to San Antonio to visit you. I want to go out to some of those bars that we went to before -- that was a blast. Second.....we need to try to get to Blue Ridge for our trip next year. I was looking through pics last night and I am missing the serenity of the mountains. Maybe we can make it work. Anyways, I hope all is well with you. Take care man.
You must begin to dream new dreams...ask new questions and find the answers...invent something or re-invent the wheel...travel somewhere you never thought you wanted to go and discover something phenomenal about the place - walk in the shoes of the locals and see what they see...there are so many things yet undiscovered...be the person to reveal it to the rest of the world. When you get older and have done nothing contributal to society, you will look back and wish you had more years in front of you than behind you to change things; ie: your own life and destiny.
