I go by the name PAT MORIARITY, and I do artwork. I am a low brow outsider, in just about every way.
I've done a lot of music related art, like posters, CDs, LPs, 45s, patches, stickers and tattoos. I did all the covers (for the music, above) on this page.
For more, just look in the pics section.

Also I've done some animation. 2 minutes in the documentary DERAILROADED,
about Wildman Fischer. www.derailroaded.com
The latest release of Charlie burton & the Dorothy Lynch Mob, SALAD,
has an all Moriarity cartoon package, with a booklet and a three minute animation as part of the enhanced CD. Go to www.charlieburton.net for details on this gem!
Here's something I'm tickled about- In the trailer to the documentary BORN INTO THIS, about Charles Bukowski, the narrator talks about how Buk hated Mickey Mouse, as it contrasts a few panels of MY Bukowski art, from our old comic collaborations, spliced right in there, in the trailer, and its BEFORE Bono and Sean Penn. Ha Ha! See, look it's right here- www.bukowskifilm.com/tr_buk.html
Like all working folks, I'm always looking forward to that next project. Are you a brilliant, gifted musician? Got a cool new CD project? Need outstanding, award winning art for it? Let's talk. Some things I do for free, other things for millions of dollars. OK, hundreds. OK, a fiver.
Influences
I moonlighted as an alternative/underground comicbook artist in the 1990's, while working full-time as art director at world famous FANTAGRAPHICS BOOKS, and later at the COMICS JOURNAL until 1997. Drawing comics really helped me establish myself as a professional cartoonist and illustrator. Other than the occasional page, I don't really do full-length comic books anymore. I stopped in 1997, in favor of a million other art and cartoon related projects. Not that I don't love comics, it's just that I got a wife, house, kid. My favorite comics are the undergrounds from the 1960's, and my art reflects that.
"Making Rolling Stone Magazine's "Hot List" threw Pat into the limelight some years ago, and it has done nothing but rain riches and fame on him ever since. He and his family reside at his Ba-zillion dollar mansion in Port Orchard. Pat still does a few illustrations for those who can afford him."- AN OVERLY ENTHUSIASTIC BIOGRAPHER
The ' Pick-Up' ... cool comic made film... too cool.. It was a cool effect to have your comic strip frames in the beginning and end... Greating acting in the film too! ~ hope things are going great there... ~Terry
Yeah! John! (God, I got so drunk I didn't remember his name...and the lovely girl he was with...forgot her name too! Damn you, booze!!) That's great about John's booming acting career...and yes, perhaps one day we shall cast him! I had a great time with them, we went out to breakfast at like 2 a.m. and everything! Good time!! And alas, you did not get to meet our little Adam Pitman, the catalyst for us meeting in the first place. One day, oh yes...one day.
Likewise, Pat! It was awesome meeting you too, and I'm really glad we got the chance to visit and drink a few beers together after the show. I think everything went really well, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! You rock, man!
ps....I loved your friends, too! The three of us got wasted and went galavanting around Seattle! Awesome!
Hey Pat! Thanks for the compliments and your enthusiasm for the film, man! And of course, thank you for the poster you created...it's so stylish and striking!! If that doesn't get butts in the seats, I don't know what will. Speaking of butts in the seats, will I be meeting you at the Seattle True Independent Film Fest in June? Adam won't be able to make it, but Stilly and I will be there representin' so I'd love to see you there.
WE PLAN ON COMING.....HAVE TO SEE IF NIKKI CAN GET VACATION ON THE 4TH....WHAT IF NO ONE ELSE CAN COME? YOU GONNA HANG ON TO DADS ASHES??? SOUNDS LIKE IT'S GONNA BE HARD TO GET US ALL AT THE SAME TIME!
