Rock the Belt's Blurbs

About me:

We are Texas State University- School of Journalism and Mass Communications students and are working on a national public relations campaign called "Rock the Belt". Our mission is to raise safety awareness by implementing a buckle up campaign within the community of Lockhart. The buckle up campaign will take place February with various activities throughout the month. According to the PRSSA press release concerning the competition, Safe Kids Buckle Up was chosen as the 2008 case study because of its unique concentration on childhood safety. "Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death of children ages three to 14." Lockhart is a wonderful town with people in the community who really care. Our work in Lockhart is to open the eyes of soon to be drivers about the importance of buckling up and helping your younger siblings to do the same.
